Sorry for your loss! I lost two my favorite BCs to hawks during winter time. They just ambush birds at the loft. That's why I really hate hawks. But as you said, it's part of the sport. You or someone got to be there when the birds return to minimize the chance of hawk attack or you can at least try to save the birds in the worse case. Good luck for the OB season!
Thanks. Yes, not sure what was that bird doing. He is a 2021. Maybe he has bad habits. I will put test him again and if he does the same thing I will stop training him with the group, just in case the other birds try to do the same thing. He has a bad ring. I cannot fly him in the club anyway
La paloma es así, si no se pierde en el camino, te la come el alcón, se muere de una efermedad, te la roba el buchón o el ladrón. A veces cuando son atacadas por los alcones se esconden en los árboles, probablemente por eso estaban asustadas y no querían entrar al palomar.
Si, es el deporte y hay q disfrutarlo y saber q estas cosas pasan. Es increible todo lo q puede pasar. Ayer estaba viendo el canal de Stratos Loft en youtube y cuando las solto para el entrenamiento, 2 chocaron y cayeron al piso. Increible, a veces no regresan por innumerables factores
So sorry i lost one yesterday one of my favor birds I had him form 2017 he was a racer many long distances races I’m going to miss him . So far this year is been nasty for all of us hawks kill to many birds but nothing we can do they are protected federally. $5000.00 fine for everyone that is been killed intentionally . Take care 😢
Yes, they are really bad this year. Hopefully the move on soon. I do not want to do anything with the hawks, just try to scare them from the yard. From now I will try to have somebody in the house when I do toss training, but the problem yesterday that it was a bad toss. They came in small groups or single. Sorry about your bird too. More good birds will come

Si, tengo q estar mas pendiente de las palomas ahora. Las quiero volar mas para probarlas bien. Selccionar un poco mas estricto. Gracias
