I was lucky enough to be an official photographer at an event where Tan Sri was the key speaker. As usual the crowd flocked to her for photos after her speech even when she was trying to eat. She was gentle and very generous with her time to chat with everyone who approached her. As she was about to leave I took the last photo of her and say Thank you Tan Sri, goodnight and she was like “Siapa ni? Nama apa? Kesian dia, dia je tangkap gambar Kita, tak ada orang tangkap gambar dia pun, mari mari, Kita pulak bergambar, selfie atau bagi kamera kat diorang pun boleh”. At 80 she’s still sharp with what’s happening and sensitive with people working around her. A true legend 🙏🏻

Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has the potential to become first Malaysian Woman Prime Minister; based on what she's been preaching here we knew the right mentality that people of Malaysia need to possess. No wonder Che Det reign was so strong. People like Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz was there to empower the action.
And she is known to be among his definite favourite. Che Det placed his trust in administration to the right people. He surrounded himself with people who knows how to "berpada-pada". I believe he knew what crooks they all did, everyone of them was under his watch, but the rule remains - berpada-pada. His authoritarian leadership makes these people knew not to cross the line and do their jobs properly. Unlike DSN. Sayang. His ideas are very good for our economic development. But, he is way too complacent in putting his trust to people around him, and surrounding himself either with vultures, or idiot clowns. Very little of them could actually do their jobs properly. I still believe DSN is at least 80% innocent of all those accusation. But, in my opinion, he deserves the punishment because as a leader, he made a grave mistake of appointing crooks to help with his administration, and affected us all.

He tried walking the fine line between corruption, cronyism and industrialisation just like how South Korea had. Unfortunately he failed miserably because unlike South Korea, he had to not only ensure there was political patronage which brought in the funds to win elections but he had to maintain the narrative of racial empowerment at the cost of talent, qualification and ability ensuring he had the political mandate to continue rulling. The same reason he poached Anwar Ibrahim from ABIM. To counter the rising influence and support PAS was gaining among the muslims with their brand of political Islam. His agenda to industrialise the nations economy was a failure by 1995 with the resources from the golden economy he had inherited from Tun Onn was all but spent. As opposed to what Tun M had inherited from Tun Onn, Badawi inherited a broken economy which had already fallen off the ranking as an Asian Tiger which was than passed on to Najib lock stock and barrel. Najib could have been one of the best PM as far as his performance concerning reviving and reshaping our economy was concerned. Unfortunately he came with Rosmah Mansur, the driving force both behind his accension to the epitome of political power and also the reason for his ultimate downfall.

I have left Malaysia 20 years ago. Tan Sri Rafidah's leadership and experience reminds me of what Malaysia and its leaders were in the 70s and 80s. Malaysia was a strong nation and respected throughout Asia. University Malaya was one of the preeminent institutions of higher learning. The rot and endemic corruption started back then and spread like cancer killing the lives of many Malaysians, driving many towards poverty. I came back for a visit in 2023 and saw how much poorer we are as a nation. Breaks my heart to see all this happening.
I left Malaysia in the end of the 70's. Most of my then Malay classmates were beginning to be brainwashed by the old Fox's bumiputras policies and we others being left out even though we were Malaysians by birth. No regrets until now having left the country I love for things are really bad now . Like what Tan Sri Rafidah said: a statesman thinks of the next generation while a politician thinks of the next election. We have no statesmen now but only politicians and most are rather mediocre .......

Aku membesar sekolah kebangsaan. Utk kuatkan pemahaman agama, parents aku hantar aku sekolah agama waktu ptg. Best fren banyak chinese, indian.. masa exam kawan2 bukan melayu score A Bahas Melayu perkara biasa.. kerana tu bahasa kebangsaan, bahasa utk semua. Pertandingan berpantun dulu, aku sorg je Melayu dalam group aku😊. Aku ingat lagi masa aku darjah 1 kawan aku yg chinese tu yg inform kwn chinese aku yg lain apa jenis makanan yg dorg boleh share dgn aku. Bila aku masuk institusi pengajian tinggi aku mcm culture shock sbb setiap org berkepit dgn bangsa masing2. I have the same mentality with TSR.. i do see mysef as a Malay.. but they all my brothers and sisters of Malaysia. Tak logik nak focus kt Melayu je utk bangunkan Malaysia. Tolonglah semua yg memerlukan, automatik bumiputra yg banyak dibantu.
Saya setuju bab culture shock apabila berhadapan dengan batasan berlandaskan kaum bila kali pertama masuk Uni. Terutamanya apabila membesar di sebuah kampung kecil dimana kita bukan sahaja berkawan dengan semua orang tetapi siap mak dan ayah masing masing kenal satu sama lain sesama mereka sejak zaman muda mereka. Saya gagal menyesuaikan diri dengan realiti yang asing bagi saya ketika itu.
This was by far the best episode of KS. We really need our best of the best leaders to over see and guide our current government. We need to bring back unity among ourselves and we all who was born in the 70's and 80's was brought up with good and sincere heart to lead for the people and for the country (not many of them lah kan....but some are!!) Their main priority was for the country and rakyat. Not self glory!!! Tan Sri thank you and please have more talks for us rakyat to have back our burning desire to serve the country. TSRA adalah classmate university UM arwah ayah saya. Selepas belajar arwah ayah melanjut pelajaran ke England dan mmg betul, dulu takde biasiswa, JPA, MARA semua belum wujud lagi. Arwah kena belajar dan cari duit sendiri disana. 7 tahun tak balik sehingga habis belajar. Arwah ayah tidak minat politik manakala TSRA masuk jalan politik, walaupun arwah ayah is a relative unknown, setiap kali berjumpa TSRA tetap akan tegur sapa dan berbual dgn arwah ayah. I was lucky enough to be an official photographer at an event where Tan Sri was the key speaker. As usual the crowd flocked to her for photos after her speech even when she was trying to eat. She was gentle and very generous with her time to chat with everyone who approached her. As she was about to leave I took the last photo of her and say Thank you Tan Sri, goodnight and she was like “Siapa ni? Nama apa? Kesian dia, dia je tangkap gambar Kita, tak ada orang tangkap gambar dia pun, mari mari, Kita pulak bergambar, selfie atau bagi kamera kat diorang pun boleh”. At 80 she’s still sharp with what’s happening and sensitive with people working around her. A true legend 🙏🏻

I always look forward to watch / listen to Tan Sri Rafidah's talks, interviews etc. This interview indeed comes in at the right time for the rakyat to clear their clouded minds (hopefully) and contribute forth for a harmonized, united and prosperous country.
Best episode by far! As a Singaporean I remember growing up and watching videos of her when she was still in politics. She maintains her wit and vigour even at the age of 80.
Still relevant at 80 after 14 years in retirement. Clear in her principles, pragmatic in her approach and definitely does not mince her words.
She's outstanding, on a different level, compared to other politicians in Malaysia.

Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has the potential to become first Malaysian Woman Prime Minister; based on what she's been preaching here we knew the right mentality that people of Malaysia need to possess.
No wonder Che Det reign was so strong. People like Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz was there to empower the action.
And she is known to be among his definite favourite. Che Det placed his trust in administration to the right people. He surrounded himself with people who knows how to "berpada-pada". I believe he knew what crooks they all did, everyone of them was under his watch, but the rule remains - berpada-pada. His authoritarian leadership makes these people knew not to cross the line and do their jobs properly. Unlike DSN. Sayang. His ideas are very good for our economic development. But, he is way too complacent in putting his trust to people around him, and surrounding himself either with vultures, or idiot clowns. Very little of them could actually do their jobs properly. I still believe DSN is at least 80% innocent of all those accusation. But, in my opinion, he deserves the punishment because as a leader, he made a grave mistake of appointing crooks to help with his administration, and affected us all.

He tried walking the fine line between corruption, cronyism and industrialisation just like how South Korea had.
Unfortunately he failed miserably because unlike South Korea, he had to not only ensure there was political patronage which brought in the funds to win elections but he had to maintain the narrative of racial empowerment at the cost of talent, qualification and ability ensuring he had the political mandate to continue rulling.
The same reason he poached Anwar Ibrahim from ABIM.
To counter the rising influence and support PAS was gaining among the muslims with their brand of political Islam.
His agenda to industrialise the nations economy was a failure by 1995 with the resources from the golden economy he had inherited from Tun Onn was all but spent.
As opposed to what Tun M had inherited from Tun Onn, Badawi inherited a broken economy which had already fallen off the ranking as an Asian Tiger which was than passed on to Najib lock stock and barrel.
Najib could have been one of the best PM as far as his performance concerning reviving and reshaping our economy was concerned.
Unfortunately he came with Rosmah Mansur, the driving force both behind his accension to the epitome of political power and also the reason for his ultimate downfall.

I have left Malaysia 20 years ago. Tan Sri Rafidah's leadership and experience reminds me of what Malaysia and its leaders were in the 70s and 80s. Malaysia was a strong nation and respected throughout Asia. University Malaya was one of the preeminent institutions of higher learning. The rot and endemic corruption started back then and spread like cancer killing the lives of many Malaysians, driving many towards poverty. I came back for a visit in 2023 and saw how much poorer we are as a nation. Breaks my heart to see all this happening.
No corruption no growth. Its a operation system setting of Asean countries like Malaysia.
I left Malaysia in the end of the 70's. Most of my then Malay classmates were beginning to be brainwashed by the old Fox's bumiputras policies and we others being left out even though we were Malaysians by birth. No regrets until now having left the country I love for things are really bad now . Like what Tan Sri Rafidah said: a statesman thinks of the next generation while a politician thinks of the next election. We have no statesmen now but only politicians and most are rather mediocre .......

Aku membesar sekolah kebangsaan. Utk kuatkan pemahaman agama, parents aku hantar aku sekolah agama waktu ptg. Best fren banyak chinese, indian.. masa exam kawan2 bukan melayu score A Bahas Melayu perkara biasa.. kerana tu bahasa kebangsaan, bahasa utk semua. Pertandingan berpantun dulu, aku sorg je Melayu dalam group aku😊. This was by far the best episode of KS. We really need our best of the best leaders to over see and guide our current government. We need to bring back unity among ourselves and we all who was born in the 70's and 80's was brought up with good and sincere heart to lead for the people and for the country (not many of them lah kan....but some are!!) Their main priority was for the country and rakyat. Not self glory!!! Tan Sri thank you and please have more talks for us rakyat to have back our burning desire to serve the country. After watching this episode it brought back so many good memories and the feeling of patriotism again. We remember the good old days❤❤❤❤ Transparency and honesty is the best policy✌🏻😎

TSRA adalah classmate university UM arwah ayah saya. Selepas belajar arwah ayah melanjut pelajaran ke England dan mmg betul, dulu takde biasiswa, JPA, MARA semua belum wujud lagi. Arwah kena belajar dan cari duit sendiri disana. 7 tahun tak balik sehingga habis belajar. Arwah ayah tidak minat politik manakala TSRA masuk jalan politik, walaupun arwah ayah is a relative unknown, setiap kali berjumpa TSRA tetap akan tegur sapa dan berbual dgn arwah ayah.
