But not ever person with a Mental Disorder is a Criminal. Furthermore, there are different levels for each of the mental illnesses one might have.
So while this murderer most surely had a mental disorder, it certainly doesn't mean he didn't know what he was doing OR didn't know the consequences. Either way, he's going away for LIFE whether it's in a Prison or a Mental Institution. Neither are pretty or fun ... I'm sure.

I nearly dies from being stabbed 7 times by a 16 year old girl and she served a few months in jail and a year of parole. Now she’s a mother.🤦🏼♀️🙄 Our justice system sucks. I’m also in Winnipeg.

sheesh, i was his friend at the homeless shelter in winnipeg. pretty violent guy if your on his bad side but was a really nice guy to me, kinda makes you not want to trust anyone.

Winnipeg is a very special place. I had a hotel reservation there as we were passing through. I had no idea what it would be like. As we arrived, we made the decision to keep on driving. It definitely has a "Mad Max" feel to the place. This was back in 1988, and I can't imagine it's become any better.
I'd still rather stay there than Vancouver or Toronto. Murders, stabbings every week.
You’re not wrong. I grew up in the north end in the 60/70s era. Recently did a 5 minute pit stop in Wpg on my way to Saskatchewan after not having been in Wpg for over 35 years and it was 5 minutes too long.
Sounds really fishy to me ,are you sure your not being fed a fall guy , what is his background ,his mental health history ,it must be extensive in order to use as an excuse , seems fishy , he should be able to tell you what he did with the bodies ,hope families get justice and some closure .
