    How does the bike feel against 350 and 450s?

      Noticeably lighter and plenty of power once uncorked and put a aftermarket muffler on. The standard muffler on the WR has no low down power

    i have a 2014 WR250F , last of the carby good bike, just lacking a little power . The EFI bike you are riding doesn't seem to lack power . Coming over to NZ to do the Tokeroa husky extreme enduro in october.
    does the EFI bike have the kick start?

      Ian Colley yeah plenty of power just needed to put a aftermarket muffler on to really open it up, nah doesn’t have a kickstart

      Steven Cerra a 2009 wr250f and still have it, love that thing 10000kms strong, but yeah so very nimble and since I put a aftermarket muffler on it it pulls very hard, also tuned it for the bottom end torque and still have the rev’y mid-high end power and since that I’ve loved it, has no bottom end power with the standard muffler though

      @@troyza450 Did you have to do any rebuilds on the motor or are you still on all the original parts? I'm torn: Either 2020 WR250F or a left over KTM 250 XC-W. Reliability & durability are my top priorities though.

      JRM haven’t rebuilt or checked valves or anything to the motor with 2800kms or 80 hours same with my older WR250 with 10500kms with the motor untouched

      werlebird in Australia it comes with the competition kit and I’ve played around with a new tune. How’s the 2020 bike?

      troy I I haven’t got to ride it yet as there is 5 feet of snow and -20 lol. I took the baffle from the intake out, and the little pea shooter in the muffler. Also took the throttle stop out. Didn’t change the ecu, going to ride it like this. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt anything haha

      werlebird probably abit to much snow haha, mine even had foam restrictions within the plastics to the air filter but ur probably right with the new air box for 2020, should be good to go

      troy I yah I was just wondering if you have any idea if taking the air intake restrictions and the muffler restrictions out, without the competition kit would hurt anything ?

      werlebird mine came stock with the competition ecu but I’d say you’ll be safe the restrictors are ment to come out, do you know what the tune is stock?

    Jesus what a beast! Watched all the 2018 WR 250 vids today. I ride a 450 2006 for some years now 17 tkm on it still rips.
    After I watched your vids I know a 250 is enough power perfect for my tracks. Was thinking to get the 2019 since this year.
    What mods did you made?

      yeah thanks, the WR comes with a lot of restrictions for it to be road legal and once i removed all of them i put on a akrapovic muffler which made a world of different through the whole rev range and especially low down, the stock muffler gives no bottom end power at all so definitely would recommend a after market muffler and the only other thing apart from protection is that i tuned it with the power tuner to make it less aggressive in the real tight slow stuff
