I think I saw a tear when you said "They're back." Unless you've got something in your eyes like me...
I saw that too. His slightly childlike grin as the Peterhill Elizabethan starts to wash over him, that slow reassuring realisation. "Camera's rolling, I must stay objective, I must stay objective, I must... ah sod it, it's Elizabethan." Such a charming glee and I'm absolutely with him. I'm more about 965 to be honest. My last Dunhill MM965 was running low, bought a Peterhill tin, cracked it open, loaded it up. I bet my face was exactly like Bradley's as I realised: It. Is. The. Same.
The smile that speaks a thousand words.
When you looked at Elizabethan, I could have sworn I saw your eyes swelling up with tears of joy !
Bradly your joy in contagious! I found myself involuntarily smiling as you lit that first pipe because it was obvious how everything was so right in that moment! I can’t wait for my order to come in!
“Can I drive with this thing? Let’s see what happens.”
Ten minutes later:
“May I see your license and registration?”
The look you had for Elizabethan was the same I had for Nightcap. It’s a beautiful thing!
I love Nightcap more than I love my dog. Now I'm thinking about it the same goes for my wife.

Gabe .TheManTheMythTheLegend Ha, I wish. Mike and Mary have been offered crazy money for their blends and recipes but they’ve absolutely refused all offers. They might change their minds in a couple of years or so, but for now it’s not happening.

Linus Nyman i believe it is because Mike and Mary McNeil do not want the memories of their blends besmirched. They decided to close up, from what I understand, because they could no longer source the tobaccos that they used in their blends and were concerned about the quality; they didn’t want to sell, say, Frog Morton’s Cellar as an example, with tobacco that was a lesser leaf than what they had used. So I don’t think that they want to see the blends that they worked so hard on sold with what they feel to be lesser quality tobacco. I could be completely wrong of course; I have no inside knowledge and do not know them personally.

I have stacks of various Dunhill tins in my dank cellar. I will be watching for your review of the Flake, because I have almost none of it left. Good vid and channel Bradley.
I have stacks of Dunhill tins in my cupboard too. It's like a journey. I started the hobby only a few years ago and though I still have aro moments, I moved towards English and other non-aro blends. Began with EMP but kind of grew out of it, discovered MM965 and never looked back. I wasn't entirely sure about Flake so I left it to age. I might crack it open and see how I feel. If it grows on me then I'll stockpile it.

I just discovered the Peterson/Dunhills while flipping through the new Pipes and Cigars catalog a few days ago. I have at least two tins of Dunhill Elizabethan that I was holding on to. I now have some Peterson/Dunhill Elizabethan on the way. Never tried the stuff before, but bought it because of your ravings.

Just today received 5 tins of Royal Yacht. I know it's not one of your favorite picks but I am smiling too.
Smokingpipes sold out fast and some people were worried that supply couldn't keep up with demand, but good news!
I just checked, and they're already back in stock. They DO still advise that a limit of 25 per customer per day is in effect when purchasing these blends, but seeing them restock so quickly is a nice confidence builder and I bet any perceived shortage is just due to afficionados' eagerness to grab them up, which should taper off quickly as people become reassured that they're back to stay. For my part, I'm sure they'll be as readily available as you mentioned they were a couple of years ago when they were Dunhill branded.
Along with returning other well-loved blends like Navy Rolls, Durbar, Aperitif, etc., I hope they go even further soon and make favorites like Nightcap and 965 available in bulk again, I always found them just as good as the tinned. If those good old bulk blends return, augmenting my supply aging in quart Mason jars will be quick and inexpensive again.
That smile at 14'25 sums up all the video and says it all...you truely loved those blends and missed them a lot...like we all did. thank you for all the great honest and touching work you put into this hobby and all these vids...you are a good and honest guy..and what we call in France a "bon vivant" .. That look in your eye when you light up your old and beloved e.m tells it all...keep up the good stuff, and occasionally even the good things ;) we luv ya

I've been out of the loop for a few months and am just now finding out they released this, I knew they were and a week ago I opened one of my Dunhill Elizabethan tins! I guess I'll smoke through that one slowly and order some of this new stuff to try. I sure hope it's as good as the Dunhill. The tins of Dunhill Elizabethan mixture I have left I'll let age now that I have a replacement. I'm SO glad I no longer have to search for left over Dunhill Elizabethan tins and pay $30 to $55 per tin! Going to order me some tins right now!

Like a little kid on Christmas morning. Love it. We've had them a while longer now (Europe)and i allready read two reviews by a mate who says they're the real deal. Just like the Dunhill's. I'll get some and will maybe do a side by side with some old Dunhill tins .
Never did like the 965. Something about it that just didn’t tickle me fancy. EMP though......yessir! Always adored that one. And of course the Elizabethan? Damn straight.

I wasn't a fan of Royal Yuck either! I have been a big fan of 965, Early Morning Pipe, and Nightcap, for over 40 years, and have watched in horror as the supply dried up. I'm thrilled that they're back, and I'll be ordering some asap!

Just got done smoking the Elizabethan Mixture for the first time ever about an hour ago on your recommendation. Had to get it once I saw it was back but unfortunately can't compare it to the Dunhill version. I enjoyed it though. Smoked well.
Wow, Bradley! I swear you would've potentially had a promising career in entertainment! The very last scene, along with the victorious smile and the celebratory music almost reminded me of scenes in the Avengers movies when they all assemble and assume positions while very similar music plays! It's a great day for us pipe smokers indeed!

They were available in the UK about 4 weeks ago.Since I now have practically stopped smoking Latakia ,only tried the Flake and the Navy Rolls .The flake is almost identical in taste while the Navy Rolls is IMHO a little better .Don't know if Charatan is available in the US ,but their Dunhill substitutes are worth trying especially Rolls ,which I believe is superior to Navy Rolls and is closer to the long gone Orlik Bull's Eye than to Dunhill .
Glorious? Dunhill Flake is my favourite pipe tobacco so I felt all your pain and now, joy.

Yes they’re back. Just taken delivery of my favourite My Mixture 965 and sat here savouring my first pipe full as I write. I’m a “happy bunny” again. All is well again in the UK. Forget Brexit - who cares now I have my 965 again.

I just ordered my favorite Night Cap, and some Flake and Royal Yatch since I never had those two. Hopefully we get more of the other blends soon, but at least we have the main blends I guess.

In today's PC world I can't believe I am actually seeing a heavily scrutinized product get re-released! Makes me think there are more of us out there than I think, or more than they would have you believe! You are not alone fellow pipe smokers, they would not have done this for a hand full of us! Pipes at the ready, and fresh Tins of Peterson's Dunhill cracked and open. Enjoy the smoke as sign of victory!
I look forward to your thoughts on the Peterson blends and how they compare to the old Dunhill. (and Charatans, if you tried those??)
