I love those leaves, such beautiful colors! I agree with you too on how the smaller phals seem to adjust to LECA better than the larger ones! And none of my summer blooming phals like LECA, I had to put them all back in spagnum moss topped with bark! Good luck with yours! 🥰🥰🥰
I love the leaves! I like to water my new repotted Phals with only seaweed in the RO water. Flush them every 2 to 3 days until I see new root tips in the pot and then I give them there first reservoir. I like growing my plants in self watering setup. But by slowly getting them adjusted Into the new system whit inorganic-media I have way less root loss. Very nice plant, thanks for the nice video!
I really like this phal, the spotted leaves are really cool looking mine has two spikes going and I sent mine to my friend Paula for a Christmas present. Not an easy one to come by actually. I hope yours grows well for you. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the video.
My phals have transitioned well to Leca when doing similar to what Orchid saga suggested. I manually water until new root tips form and then give it a reservoir. I would have chosen a pot with a 1 inch radius of room for growth. Keep us updated on how she does.
Hi Michelle, I'm so happy your phals are doing well in leca, it's easier to grow them that way, isn't it? I will definitely try the flushing method, hopefully the roots will adapt better 🤞 Thank you for watching! 👏
I was so lucky with it, I got it from a wholesaler in the UK and they just sell batches of phals. All I could choose was a set of 4 mini phals and they picked colours etc... And Odorion was in the mix! I didn't even know back then how precious she is and I'm so happy now that I got it 💜🥰
@@Whatsuporchids Nice find! I know some have found them in grocery stores in the us, but I haven't been lucky with it. I wish a nursery might stock it, but it looks like it's the type that goes in bulk mixed in with a lot of other complex hybrids which makes the hunt a little more tricky. Your plant is very beautiful, just love the leaf mottling!!
You could have made your life easier with the microfiber by sticking in a skewer through the holes to hold it in place for you (idea for next time you repot).
It needed a bigger pot 😂😂😂 Like that most of the new roots will be aerial and won't contribute much to sustaining the actual plant. There are already signs of a setback
Well done👍

Oh really?! Then my big one is definitely not going anywhere near leca 😆 I hope your phals are doing well! 🤞💚

Thank you for all your tips, I'll try flushing it without leaving a reservoir to start with 👍

Thanks Justin! This Phal really is lovely, the scent is amazing, the leaves are so pretty, it ticks all the boxes! 🥰

Ah I have been looking for this phal for a while now, wish I could find it!

Thank you so much, I hope you find one of those soon, keep looking! 🤞🍀
Where can I buy phal. Odirion?. I live in Montreal
Sorry, no idea... I got it from an inline seller in the UK but it was pure luck as I got 4 random phals and they picked what they're sending 😊

Totally! I'm glad I at least remembered to put it in the pot, that doesn't always happen 😅

I'm just refusing to put a mini phal in a big pot, it will have to deal with this small pot 😅
@@Whatsuporchids I know, we buy them thinking they Will be a space saver and instead they do expand almost as much as regular Ones 🤣
