I was taught to draw squares between the diagonal and cross-peaks in COSY to interpret the coupling between protons. Interesting that your interpretation is slightly different.
D'oh! Tom, you're probably correct. If we switch the assignments of the alpha and beta protons, do the coupling patterns still make sense? (Asking because I don't have time to check, not because I don't know the answer!) :-D
Finally someone who explains 2D NMR COSY well! Thanks
Thanks, Daniel!
Exactly
At least some explained me everything in 7 minutes! Bravo!!!!
Genuinely only video out here that helped me understand 🙏🙏
I was looking for a tutorial like this!!! Amazing
Very useful refresher, thanks!
i cannot thank you enough for this video
Thanks, Michael, it is really a nice and helpful video.
You simplified it so much, thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks a lot!! That was AMAZING. Thank you!!!
This was very helpful! Thank you!

this made so much sense! thank you so much
Thanks a lot..... wonderful explanation done in 7 mins.
Why didnt my professor explain it like this😭? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
tysm Dr. Evans!
Very good video
Well done!!!!
Thank you so much for this
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
De rien! :-) Merci de regarder!
Sir, nice video. How should I cite your video? Can I use your video for my students? How do i acknowledge your video?
Mathiya S. You’re more than welcome to! No need to cite or acknowledge!
I think the more downfield alkene proton would be the beta proton (as in partial positive for Michael addition) whereas he labelled it as the alpha.

@@mevansthechemist Yes, to me they do because the beta hydrogen atom has the extra coupling of the methyl group.
switching the x and Y axis is cool?? would it be alright if C-NMR switched to x axis
Completely fine!
Thanks bro!
Amazing
Thanks!
please explain in hindi sir
thanks I gat samthn
