    Your laugh is one of the most beautiful laughs I've ever heard, and maybe it's the secret to increasing your beauty every day, and I wish you good luck with all kinds of photographers, for you know, I'm the one who gives you followers, and I love all your work, you have all the respect and encouragement for me.❤

    Crazy, the things that have been said to you. As a hobbyist photographer, I would only ever treat a model with absolute respect and compliment them. Terrific video.

    You’re so sweet. Why would anyone troll you. Most beautiful women are in the habit since school of dressing down. Easier for girlfriends not having to compete.

    Photographer here. Probably the worst thing I can remember a model saying to me. We had done a shoot and she had been very happy with the photos, but told me she would be using them on her pay only fans page, without any kind of compensation. When I said I thought was wrong (it was a long discussion, that's the short version) she said "that must be why you don't get a lot of work". Which was an odd thing to say, as I get plenty of work. In any case, I told her that since the discussion had now become a personal attack, we were done here. I have not spoken to her since and don't plan to shoot with her again.

    You're not old ! Photographer here, possibly the worse thing a "model" has said to me was " I'm not looking at your camera or at you ! " This was a test shoot with 10 other models about 30 years ago, I was relatively new and I was totally shocked and I think everyone else in the room was too. I've no idea what provoked her to say that. I shoot weddings, events parties and over the years I do get the odd person who doesn't want their photo taken. ( I'm the same, I often look at photos of myself and don't want to face up to reality of who I am ).

    "Oh she's a real model" How patronising and insulating to you. You've took that very week considering. Another great video.

    (Photographer) at my second model shoot, having learned all the right practices (don't touch the model, don't ask about her personal life). Model asks me, "so do you have a girlfriend then?" Why, do I look like I don't??

    I actually can't not remember a lot of bad things said to me, probably because I just tend to ignore a lot and perceive it as not smth concerning me but concerning him. I remember once during the shoot photographer said to that I can not put my chin up, because this makes me look proud and the woman can't be proud, she should only look down 😅 This was not the only spectacular thing about him, actually the whole behavior deserves such a video

    Another great vid, No.1 sounds extremely creepy...very predatory language/thinking. I have to admit I haven't had many bad things said to me though I have had a few strange interactions before and after shoots. On most occasions I give models a selection of fully edited images on paid shoots, one model complained that I had edited underarm hair (it was casting an ugly shadow), I hadn't remove it, just minimized it to avoid the cast but she made a massive issue out of it. Another model with a very bad portfolio demanded 3x the going rate plus outrageous expenses, I was called unprofessional for refusing. Most of the models I work with are highly professional so there has been no issues, however other photographers I have worked with have been cringy and at times rather rude. New-ish photographers can be quite nervous and say things they don't really mean, more experience ones have no excuse though. Happy Almost Christmas..hope you enjoyed your cake :)

    Ahh my goodness, you are SO good at making these videos! :-) Wonderful you can laugh at most of these hilariously atrocious comments and make an entertaining video out of the experiences. It is dumb-founding what you hear sometimes. But indeed seriously horrific in cases like the last one, UGH.

    I just watched this video. I then told my wife about it (she and I are both big fans). In her semi sleepy state here response at me telling her the title. ""Someone Said bad things to Ariel Anderson. So many that she had to pick 10? boop'em in the snoot"... she will be watching her self shortly but wanted me to share this slice of life from your followers

  • @evgeniyag1404
    @evgeniyag1404 2 года назад

    A lot of photographers are totally looking for some girlfriend experience 😅 They are looking also for sort a psychologist, sexologist that will give them advice about intimate life with their wife, for boosting their ego, etc.. Often I regret I m not a super excited generally person, I don't tend to flirt with them.. while some of my friends do, and this is in many cases THE reason they are getting hired by these guys again. For me this behavior is however too energy consuming, I would want my rate to be 3 times higher to satisfy these extra emotional needs

    4 Bye-byes at the end may be a channel record, and I was still half expecting another after the cake shoutout.
    I'm glad this video didn't end up being as dark as the title suggested it might be (especially after previous with you and your model friends sharing horror stories). In fact I feel like the first 9 examples fall mostly under the area of innocent insensitivity and/or ignorance rather than actual malicious intent. Clearly that's not still ok because everyone should be treated with the right level of courtesy and respect regardless of what they do for a living.
    I'm also glad you didn't end up with a long term hang-up about back shots, considering we'd otherwise have been deprived of a whole strand of your modelling work where cameras are pointed directly at your bum by necessity 😉

    • @ArielsTwilightYears
      @ArielsTwilightYears  3 года назад

      LOL, yes, as I said, I really don't think most of these people were trying to cause harm; the worst I can say of them is that they were expressing what they *really* feel about nude models, without realising it. I'm fortunately totally over my back shot anxiety now :)

    Hello Ariel. I always do enjoy your videos. You have taught me a lot about this modeling world I knew very little about not too long ago. Thanks for doing a very good job representing. You consistently make good points, and you give me a giggle sometimes too (good!). Your laugh can be infectious, and you are always a pleasure to watch and listen to. You are gorgeous and make my eyes feel better after seeing you every time!
    Regarding this video's topic: Ariel, is it possible that some of these guys (jerks) are just sadists out looking for a good masochist or submissive to play with? One that is super-hot (check!) and maybe enjoys humiliation - and maybe even more along those lines? Some of your experiences talked about here sound like weak and pathetic attempts to generate a hot scene, one they surely have fantasized about often.
    You do have the ability to bring about, generate, and fuel fantasies and elevated temperatures without even trying! This is clear. I would love to work with you.
    I could go on, there is just so much I would like to ask you about, but I don't want to come off creepy (sorry if I do!) so I will say goodnight for now. Thanks again and always take care.
    XO

      Thank you so much! I sometimes wonder about that, and TBH I could make an entire extra video about weird behaviour would-be doms have exhibited towards me! I don't think most of the people in this video were even aware of my fetish work, since a lot of it happened at the beginning of my career.

  • @diceman199

    I don't think I've had anything odd said to me as a photographer, the most bothersome thing is models suddenly disappearing just before a shoot, even ones they have done the casting for. No matter how good the pre shoot communications are I'm half expecting cancellation. That said i mostly work with beginner models as I'm only an amateur photographer.

  • @tom_1991
    @tom_1991 3 года назад

    Goodness, this really does demonstrate that a lot of people don't think before they speak. And even on the occasions they do think, they're thinking horribly wrong and simply insulting things! "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" must be an idiom unfamiliar to them, and whatever happened to manners? As amusing as some of these are, I cannot believe the things that people have said to you; it boggles the mind!! And these comments not even being limited to photographers, some who call you fat (what on Earth?), disregard modelling as a career, say you're not a "real model" or doubt your intellect, but also other models making extremely unkind comments about your body (who're also obviously wrong) - though I appreciate where you're coming from with her perhaps feeling a bit insecure herself and seeking reassurance with that comment. And, more pertinently, that some people don't always have your best interests at heart. Thankfully those people are in the small minority, however, as you mentioned, they do exist, and it's super advice to always be wary of what people are saying as it can indeed indicate what their intentions might actually be. It's one thing when someone is trying to be seen in public with a glamorous model, perhaps trying to make some kind of bizarre statement or have people think that they're something or with someone they're not, but it's another thing entirely to try and coerce models (or anyone) into doing things they haven't agreed to or don't want to do by taking advantage of their financial situation (after you've already sexually assaulted them anyway!!). One of those things is odd, and the other is simply predatory. Gross, gross, gross. Thank you for making and sharing this, the world needs more Ariel's and more Tisbury's, and I hope that the rest of your long and illustrious career is shared with kind and lovely people and photographers!

      Thank you Tom, I really appreciate your comments. While making the video I realised how often I was saying 'it was at the start of my career...' and it struck me that it has definitely got better over time, either because people are more scared of me now, or because society has changed a bit for the better in this regard. I hope so! x

  • @reneweisz9157
    @reneweisz9157 3 года назад

    I honestly don't get these photographers! If a photographer hires a model for a paid gig (not TFP) than the photographer obviously selected a model based on a look that will be a good fit for his/her project. It doesn't matter if the photographer is professional or a amateur photographer with a professional skill set. Why would a photographer make comments about her look? Bottom line is, focus on the project at hand, and keep giving the model positive feedback during the shoot. If the shoot went well than give her/him an honest compliments about her work and professionalism. If you provide a good and relaxing work environment than everybody on the shoot will have fun and a great time.

    🙁 Man it sucks you had people say those things to you. Just so rude, I couldn't imagine saying things so brash and disrespectful to someone who I'd just collaborated with.
