    Lovely old girl i went to middle school in 1994 1997 we where on ouse valley coaches of Bedfordshire there were old Vauxhall plaxton coaches still really good then build to last can still remember the 1970 trim

    How common was the pneumocyclic gearbox on a coach with a Volvo chassis? Apart from this example I've only every seen the pneumocyclic on a Leyland chassis, with all the other chassis options including Volvo always having a manual gearbox.

    One thing that always bothered me about the Volvo B58 were the American wheel stud pattern.
    I would take the opportunity to fit the two hole rims common on American trucks. They look great.
    I never knew they came with an air post gear tower option. Was that from new?
    I'm in two minds about the Plaxton body. They look old and modern at the same time.

      The semi-automatic Pneumocylic gearbox was an option

      They were the main choice here in Australia. I travelled on a couple with a Voith transmission. Others had Allison autos.
      I've been on a B10M semi automatic. Extremely rare.
