Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the eleventh primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the first developed primarily by Sledgehammer Games. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
In 2054, a terrorist organization known as the KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by simultaneously destroying the nuclear reactors of developed countries around the globe, including the United States. Across five continents, many developed countries' infrastructures were devastated and the military is incapable of fighting the threat posed by the KVA. As the result, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for many countries. Jack Mitchell (Troy Baker), a former U.S. Marine who lost his left arm during a battle in Seoul, joins the Atlas Corporation, the world's most powerful Private Military Corporation with the most advanced technologies on the planet which profited deeply from the nuclear attacks by Hades. Executing clandestine operations across the globe for the highest bidder, Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey), the CEO and founder of Atlas, begins his war over the ineffectiveness of the United States as the promoter of democracy all over the world to change the global balance of power.

Probably the most Impresive cgi for Its time. Camera shots and everything felt like a true movie. The animations are also crazy mad. They should have made a movie Instead.
This was my second CoD game I ever got (first being CoD MW3) and I don't care what people said, I loved this game. The graphics were the outstanding, the zombies mode could've been a little better, but the multiplayer for me was amazing!

The cinematic cutscenes are fine but I prefer the briefing scenes of the old COD MW trilogy, WaW and Black Ops.

Fun fact: Troy Baker, the VA of Mitchell in this series, was the same VA of Pagan Min.
They are polar opposites. Mitchell was a quiet character, while Pagan wasn't.

The MW trilogy is unbeatable but the stand alone AW campaign is on the same level for me, absolutely brilliant.

Personally, I enjoyed the campaign. I liked the introduction of the exo-suit and how levels like Atlas and Sentinel were playgrounds for players to mess around with them. I also really liked some of the dialogue like Mitchell's lines after he loses Will, and Irons' speeches before the Detroit mission and at the UN. I just wish there was better execution in certain plot-points and that there was an actual sequel.
I acc miss this game a lot now.

For some reason these games feel like army indoctrination pieces.
Maybe because they are. War games aren't made just for the noble purpose of letting people have "fun" with shooting while being safe in their couches, they have an ideological background goal of making people -especially younger people- not fear war or firearms, so they can be enlisted voluntarily should United States suddenly need a lot more soldiers than it currently does. They also try to sell everyone who plays them the idea that United States as a Nation is a hero, the good guys, so the general audience will not critize them for constantly invading other Nations, like half of the Middle East it is currently occupying
