Can always try wedging the right hand side up, it may soften the 45 degree bend and bring the top down instead of straight up, if it survives that is 🙈

That is a great idea!
How about a drop or two of super glue? Might help to seal that break. Glue might just help to keep the split closed till it heals. Just a thought.
