- We couldn’t help but run over to this Chevelle as soon as we saw it pull up to the first track at Drag Week 16’, with two MASSIVE turbos protruding from the hood - it was the epitome of an “eye-catcher”. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that it was built by some hilarious race enthusiast from the land down under..STRYAY baby! These guys always offered entertainment, despite the obstacles prompted by a 1000 miles of driving. Can’t wait to see whats in store for us next year!

This Chevelle is must be the Farmtruck's lost brother
because it looks a 'Rust Bucket' but they are true MONSTERS at 1/4 miles inside the heart ;)

imCapone1124 how doesnt it? The turbos r taking outside air instead of air in the hot engine bay. I havent thought about this b4. Could u explain why?
the turbos are in direct sunlight which makes them hotter, the holes for the turbo can allows the heat from the engine to rise to the turbos, and lastly heat rises, it's hotter where the turbos are then it would be if they were below the headlight area. (which is were you want them for power, clean air and not too hot from engine/ ambient air.)

looks cool but ideally you want the turbos to get a little more heat from the exhaust to help spin the turbine wheel. but that aside it's a badass machine with a 500 plus ci motor and two turbos. plus the rusty appearance is just sick.
Exhaust gasses spins the turbo man.... Heat is irrelevant.
^ What this guys said. It's all about exhaust pressure, not heat. People mount turbos in the rear of their car with very little decreases in performance.
Hot air flows better/faster than cold air but yes in this case is irrelevant, drag racing and automatic car.
Yeah cmon man think a little- how could heat alone improve performance when on literally every other part of an i.c.e. heat is a bad thing
Also remember these boys are Aussies there for a good time not overly stressed about elite engineering on a car that was pretty much thrown together! The car and the team entertained 1000's of US fans and that's what counts..... In Australia we call that "Having a crack" (nothing to do with drugs!!!) literally means do your best with whatever ya got.

Funny story, the second checkpoint they are talking about is in my home town, I was leaving from a football game with my buddy and as we cruise past Main Street, a green 40s gasser rolls by and we go “Holy Shit!” And lo and behold drag week is rolling through and they’re all looking for Foy’s Halloween store which there are four of on Main Street and a restaurant

Put a couple bell mouth inlets on the turbos and you will get more power. Those sharp inlets cause a lot of turbulence and restriction. Regards!!
