@vijisxyz “True, money can [...] and civic sense!” ====================== But -Indians- Bharatiyans have greatestestest culture of annnnccient times saar!
Most Indian’s don’t care about fellow passengers or people beside them. I am myself an Indian and it irritates me when people standing in queue and come 1cm close to you.
Was on a flight from Singapore to New Zealand couple of months ago. I was unfortunate enough to be be surrounded by a tour group from Gujarat. They were the most uncivilized passengers I had seen in my 30 years of flying! They refused to listen to the stewardess, started walking around as soon as the plane was on the runaway about to take off despite repeatably being told to sit down. They swapped seats with each other and caused a headache for the cabin crew when serving their special meals as the meals were allocated to the seats. On top of that they asked me to change seats so one of them could sit near them, I refused and they asked the cabin staff to call ground crew - and they came, told them no one is gonna be changing seats and told them to sit in the seats allocated to them, period! One of the passengers next to me was watching a movie - on his mobile, without any headphones and it was loud, being completely ignorant of other people sitting around. During meals, a passenger sitting in front of me finished his dinner and kept pressing the bell to have his tray taken away while dinner was still being served to others - he did this 5 times and was told every time to please wait as they are busy serving others. By far my worst airline trip ever.
I didnt get surprised by the gujju behaviour . Didnt they bring their own food like kakra etc ? Cause in one of the flight I travelled they had this food all over the place thats before 9/11 happened
You are right the gujjus are the worst on fights. These Ambanis, Adanis, Modis never learned civility only counting money bundles. They need some one to bring them in line by danda.
Iam aslo Indian too but every Indian aren't like ..the same .....India is huge so ..there behavior pattern are differents.....my concern is one bad experience with certain nationality doesn't mean everyone just like them ..within the country ..? 3:44 3:44
Indians suddenly saw a little bit of money and started traveling internationally but they still think and act it's Indian Railways SL Sleeper Class coach.
As a sri lankan, I was insulted because of skin. They recognize as an indian 😢. If india make mistake it has impact to us too. Plz behave well friends ❤
I was on a flight from Munich to Montreal few years back and there was an elderly person by me and his family behind our seats. The eldery Indian man picked his nose and flicked his dry snot towards the seat of a canadian mom and her baby. The lady asked asked him to please clean it up so her child wouldn't touch it as he flicked it right infront of the child's seat. The man ignored and turned away, when the lady complained the flight attendant was aware so was the near by passengers. He refused to clean up. His wife also had her toes poking through the seat towards the front. I know this sounds exaggerated but this is something i saw with my own eyes.
Omg! That’s disgusting to read. I know we cannot judge people of a country based on one individual’s behaviour, but imagine what would other races think about us after such incidents. It’s truly embarrassing as an Indian. Civic sense, etiquettes, manners and respect to fellow human beings should be taught as a subject in Indian schools.
Money doesn't buy class. We Indians have a lot to learn on manners and discipline. We don't follow queue, we don't bother about one ways. For us bus, train and plane behaviour are same. Cleanliness is out of question.
I'm an Indian, I have been traveling by air since 34 years, but I am ashamed to admit that we sit in a fight from 4 to sometimes 10+ hours with saintly patience, YET the moment the flight touches down almost the VAST MAJORITY get up, open overhead luggage lockers, periously takeling down bagages, and prefer standing with loads of weight strapped on shoulders. All this only we do, while the flight is still on the ground and moving, and sometimes, taking over 15 minutes for the cabin door to open. I AM TRULY ASHAMED.
That's actually an international problem. Europeans definitely do that a lot, too. Maybe Indians start earlier and do it with even less restraint, but it's really universal behaviour. There must be something in the circumstances that makes it hard to resist the temptation.
Domestic flights in India are a nightmare. Touchdown and the search belts go off with everyone standing up to open the overhead bins. Madness. I remember, once a foreign lady commented in the flight" thank God , I don't live in this country!"
Which country do you belong to?...Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are no different....Be happy that Indians don't blow up planes in the name of God unlike your peaceful brothers in the name of Ola Uh Uber....
People who used to travel in the general compartments in trains two decades ago have now invaded the economy class of aeroplanes. No wonder Shashi Tharoor called cattle class the travellers in the economy class!
There was a Notice in Switzerland in a Posh Hotel for Indians. Do not come for breakfast with dressing gowns and help yourself to the Breakfast Buffet BUT do not takeaway fruit or food meant for other Guests. No one trusts Indians saw a clip of Modi in his plane with a lock on his Trolley Bag. V. SAD
A few years ago, I was flying with my family from Qatar to the US on a long 16-hour flight, which was mostly filled with Indian passengers of various age groups. Many of them were elderly, likely flying for the first time. In the row ahead of us, there were three young men, probably in their mid-to-late 20s, of Indian origin. These guys spent the entire flight drinking alcohol. It wasn’t just casual drinking-they got increasingly drunk, loud, and obnoxious. Despite my wife politely asking them a couple of times to keep their noise down as it was making us uncomfortable, they showed no regard for our concerns. By the time we landed in the US, we felt compelled to confront them and let them know how their behavior had affected us.
That goes for all categories i.e. adults and children women and men, young and old, rich and poor, abled and disabled. If an airline has provided a free wheelchair to ferry a passenger who is too weak or has some challenges, many passengers from India will demand the same type of service to be provided for them by arguing for their rights.
which one? they are hated all over the world. banned in many countries bars ie south korea, japan, thailand, hong kong, dubai. this is fact cause i personally seen then tried to get in when i was there and were forbiden. i am sik to death of the oh rasicm. no its not your actions as whole go up and down if you are welcome or not. fun fact japanese tourists the worlds most like tourists they always quiet, never scam any hotel. never obnixous. for western countreis id be the english or australian the most hated where ever they travel to.
Why only International flights??? I recently travelled within India on different routes and the behavior was just like you are travelling in a Bus. As soon as the plane land every gets up and when the doors open to let the passengers out, everyone wants to get out first . rather than waiting for each row to clear. My dad who has seen action in 1963 in Himalayan border, used to say that it is not the over population that is the problem , but rather the "Quality" of the population that is the problem. Here the quality means in many ways that I don't want to elaborate.
Like Shashi Tharoor once said "Cattle class". It is just not a reflection of the country, It is a direct reflection on your parents. When you leave home, you are a legacy of your parents.
Yes we call economy Cattle Class know Indians haven't heard of this expression but would also offend Hindutva bhakts. Schools also play a part. Many ppl in the UK will say "sorry" and "Thank you" not Indians.
@TSheikh-of2pj Not necessarily. Once these ill mannered lot are let out of the cage, they go berserk, especially with similar peer groups and they show off, get intoxicated with free drink, binge and become obnoxious.
Indians have become very wealthy and frankly most Indians are decent people. However, this kind of thing is depressing. Especially if you are a westerner with positive feelings about India and speak highly of the country to others. It is good to see the press addressing this. Perhaps things will change
@@allanr.okinyi8641I have seen westerners saying positive things about India (pre 2000s). India was indeed known as a poor nation, but only the cream of Indians visited other countries and thus a decent reputation.
Ok. But Why do Foreigners want to speak positively about India? I am an Indian, and you can speak about my country however you want as long as you're not being deceitful.
When an Indian traveler travels alone or in 2 or with a family he is well behaved but when he travels with a group of 4 or 4 plus not just in planes but also in trains and buses they would start behaving unruly just to show their mass, not all but few of them. One thing I really hate is how all the passengers stand and go towards the exit door when the plane as just landed, they wouldn't even realize that it would take at least 5 minutes set up things before they open the door, and it is not a bus or train to jump out once the destination is reached. In most foreign countries, everyone would leave in order from seat 1 to the last, this would be very surprising when a foreigner or an air hostess sees this on their first landing in India
As someone who travels internationally quite frequently, I’ve noticed a trend that’s been bothering me. Many Indian passengers, upon arriving at international airports, seem to take advantage of the wheelchair service-not because they need assistance, but to skip long queues at security checks and boarding lines. While it may seem like a clever shortcut, it feels unfair to those who genuinely need the service and to other passengers who patiently wait their turn. It’s a sneaky way to gain an unfair advantage and, in my opinion, takes away from the integrity of the system. 🙄
Aren't you the same person who traveled from Qatar to the US where three youths were drinking alcohol in flight? I am surprised you have taken such an interest in the behavior of Indians that you are leaving multiple comments.
My husband who is 83 and I 78 had bad experience at Dubai air port on our way to US. Youngsters got out pushing their way and got wheel chairs. We had booked wheel chairs but when we approached the official, a lady, rudely told they do not have enough wheel chairs. We were told to wait or walk all the way. We had only 40 minutes to catch the next flight. Even without hand luggage we had a very hard time to get to the gate and just made it. Both of us were exhausted . I was almost on the point of collapsing. There should be a rule that anyone needing wheelchairs bring a medical certificate from a reputed hospital.
As an indian, i am deeply concerned about pollution, racism, mannerless, lack of civility, terrorism, xape, beggars, scamming, hypocrisy, corruption, unemployment and lack of hygiene & cleanliness in India
Outside our country we are now treated at par with the third world countries. Thanks to our government for crashing our economy that our people are forced to take up menial jobs at very low salaries.
I have traveled from the US and. Canada via the UK a few times to Delhi. When you don't get sometimes direct flights to Bangalore or Madras, and some rude people who board are intolerable. Even if it's your seat, they will ask you to change it.
Children from school should be taught good behaviour and etiquette rather than scrambling their minds with who ruled which state and what religion they belonged to.
Yeah, I'd agree. I once got in the AC local men's compartment, and it was stinky. The women's AC local does not stink at all. Again, there are Indians who care for hygiene and do not have a bad odor, but I'll have to agree that there are some who deserve the criticism. Honorable mention- Please learn civic sense and spatial Awareness. Many need it !!
Yes but schools must teach civic sense and Manners. When I landed at Mumbai from Heathrow Indian children at the carousel stepped beyond the yellow line to retrieve baggage. Asked the Indians why are you pushing and shoving my heavy case could slip and hurt you just STOP.
Once i had a group of Drs travellining to kuala lampur on air india flt from Delhi. They were refused liquor to my surprise one of the so called educated elite a Dr by profession stood up on his seat & shouted " Plane ko Gumao" as if he owned the airlines😢
i was shocked when i travel in bangladish biman airlines way worse than this. well not indians but banglishi men. didnt listen at all ie stop smoking in a non smoking flight. didnt even want to fasten seat belts. refused 100% listen to any lady stewardess. several times had to get the male steward over for them to even stop fuking smoking etc. worst behaviour of very many planes and differnet airlines ever been on
As a white Westerner who has lived in India, this is a cultural phenomenon. I’ve witnessed it most with people whom have not travelled by air previously and do not understand the norms. Maybe a campaign by the airlines may help the situation. 🙏🏻
Yes. A campaign is need but in older times, I think flight passengers were more civilized because they were way more educated than an average Indian, because education and education alone was key to a well paying job enough to afford flight tickets. Now every uneducated tom dick and harry can fly. As a result there is an increase in people who treat airways like railways (which btw doesnt stop for more than 5 minutes at any station)
I have Endured this ☝️ behaviour for Last 20+ years being a Cabin Crew its TERRIBLY 😢 SHAMEFUL Our Country gets Shamed by these Type of Passengers specially when they are in a Group they shout out 😲 to one another Terrible 😭😔
Sorry for you. Was travelling on Singapore Airlines to Mumbai and 3 Indian kids running up and down the Isle. Complained to Stewardess as glasses of wine water could cause safety issues. Was told that they will lose their jobs. Stopped one and told them to Stop where are your parents at the back so I shouted in Hindi get back stop disturbing everyone.
It saddens me that our sanskar is being lost. I travelled to India with my elderly parents and youngsters brush past them without giving way. Even in the UK I have noticed that the younger people from India recklessly ride bikes/escooters on pavements - making it unsafe for elderly and blind. People crossing in front of cars at a leisurely pace. Such behaviours demonstrate blatant disregard for others and rules.
Education should come from school , including teaching family. My parents came from India but because they live with multi culture people they soon learned to live together and unlearned bad behaviours.
Ha ha ha .. in 2016, I was traveling from Washington DC to New Delhi via Doha through Qatar Airways. First leg from Washington DC to Doha was pleasant but the second leg from Doha to New Delhi was a bitter experience. The people boarded from Doha behaved like unruly and uncultured. Taking air hostess photographs, and later forced to delete from their mobiles. Standing nearby washroom and next to the aircraft doors. Picking foods from the pantry areas without consents, laud chatting(taking to passengers sitting two rows apart), passing comments on air hostesses in Indian languages, not respecting others’ privacy. The worse came up at the landing time. Generally, air hostesses would be last to buckle their seatbelts after ensuring passengers are buckled safely; however, in this flight, it was all chaotic. They kept requested passengers but some didn’t paid heed to the request and remained unbuckled. Finally the flight touched down with a lauded slogan of “Bharat Mara ki Jai”. It was a horrible experience of my over two decades international travel. Never opted flight back to India via Middle eastern countries. Direct flight or via Europe works well for me.
Another false story from someone who is obviously anti Indian. I have been on so many flights to India and have never experienced anything remotely close to this false story.
This is truly annoying and shameful. I had similar experiences. When I travel from Singapore to Chennai in my opposite seat an elder couple age above 60 look very decent but they took the silver folk and spoon put it in their waist pack . After few minutes they asked the air hostess for another set of spoon and folk . The thing is they both aware i can see them.. it makes me very shameful.
I’m not surprised at all. It’s deeply disheartening to witness this recurring pattern of neglect, where so many Indian cities remain dirty and poorly managed. The reasons are painfully obvious-such behavior, driven by these brainless morons who not only do this on flights but treat public spaces with blatant disregard, has become far too common. There appears to be little respect for communal well-being or any sense of shared responsibility. What’s even more appalling is that this mindset is being carried to other countries, tarnishing the reputation of Indians and India. Public spaces, which should inspire pride and collective enjoyment, are instead overrun by unruly individuals acting without accountability. This issue isn’t confined to India-this cheap mindset crosses borders, manifesting in various forms worldwide. In the USA, for example, incidents like people pouring milk over Indian movie posters or trashing theaters highlight a shocking lack of civic sense and respect for public property. The deeper problems are even more troubling. A lack of education about civic duties, failure to instill discipline, and the cultural acceptance of such behaviors all contribute to this state of affairs. The consequences are clear-filthy streets, damaged public spaces, and a reputation for chaos that hinders progress. It feels like we’re trapped in an endless cycle of selfishness and apathy. Without a widespread commitment to fostering civic awareness and holding individuals accountable for their actions, it’s hard to imagine meaningful change. It’s profoundly disappointing to see how far we’ve allowed this situation to deteriorate.
About ten years ago, I was traveling to Abu Dhabi on an Air India Express flight. When I landed at Terminal 3, it just so happened that the Air India Express flight, an Air India flight, and a Pakistan International Airlines flight all landed around the same time. Back then, the process at Terminal 3 was different. After deboarding the plane, passengers had to exchange a copy of their visa for the actual visa. There was an officer stationed there, and you needed to stand in line, hand over the copy of your visa, and collect the original document. That system is no longer in place, but this was how it worked at the time. What struck me that day was the stark difference in behavior between passengers from the Indian flights and those from the Pakistani flight. The Indian passengers created chaos, acting as if it were a fish market-standing all over the place, shouting, and pushing to get their visas. It was a complete mess. In contrast, the Pakistani passengers came out of their flight and quietly stood in an orderly line, well-behaved and disciplined. I was honestly surprised and, as an Indian, felt embarrassed. I’ve always believed in standing in line, keeping the place clean, and avoiding unnecessary drama. Seeing my fellow Indian passengers behave like that was disappointing. That experience stayed with me, and even now, ten years later, I wonder if things have improved. Maybe the newer generation is a bit smarter, but I’m not so sure. Still hope it will change one day.
I think passengers who do not obey rules she be dealt with by the law. They shed be detained at the airport in a separate room for at least a couple of hours
At least the middle class Pakistanis have been dusciplined by the military dandaa. Indian's have not experienced a ga-aan mey dandaa as yet. Once they experience a good dandaa on their butt they become totally docile.
It’s quite evident in the flights to India from countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. I have witnessed it myself in connecting flights. It is embarrassing. They have to go to toilet right after seat belts sign comes on and flight is ready for landing. During turbulence they stand up and only sit after air hostess shout at them multiple times. In my most recent flight we were just about to land when someone stood up. When air hostess asked him to sit he responded with, “oh bathroom jaana bai”. What can you do? Last but not the least- After landing they are in so much hurry to get out of the plane that they forget about any consideration for other passengers.
Today I saw a similar kind of video on Instagram, where a guy is literally selling tea on that small cup from a thermos exactly like on the train.. and he didn't stop there he was also yelling hai...chai... There is a reason why we get so much hate.
Why don't ppl learn behavior. It doesn't matter how much you make? It's about how you portray yourself to other passengers. Don't make them think so bad about you as your behavior impacts every other obeying and law abiding indians as well..
You have a point but Sadly Indian Parents travellers who are treated by their children end up without knowledge of how to behave. Some haven't seen a paved road and wear trainers for the first time and walk which is a very British European but not American culture. Oversize women who are used to home help just waddle. Arranged marriages with ugly old men and young women stand out to me
Same thing during Hanoi - Mumbai flight, getting up time to time to check their luggage, when I ask them why they have to disturb other passengers as they can collect their cabin luggage after the plane lands......but they said it's none of my business.......they were all speaking Marathi and disturbing co-passengers just because their cabin luggage were placed few seats behind their seats....the Cabin Crew told them several times not to worry about their luggage as they will hand to them once the plane lands......
I was in Vistara 2 years in business Delhi to Chandigarh. Behind me there were 2 people speaking like if they were in a market. I called the air hostess but she was too afraid of them. Indian Aviation authorities should identify these trouble making people so that they are arrested after landing, Aviation authorities cannot let such hooliganism spread to the detriment of respectable people.
Lots of 3rd world countries are very civilized . In India lots of corrupt people became very rich very suddenly. At home they all are above laws . So they behave in that manner. It reflects our state chracter a semi colony still ruled by Colonial laws and state machine owned by the colonial collaborators.
The US and its allies after WW2 were grouped as 1st World. The USSR and its colonies were grouped as 2nd World. The rest who joined neither were grouped as 3rd World, including some Northern European countries. It had nothing to do with living conditions and rather alliances but nowadays it's being conflated.
I myself an Indian, and I have traveled to several countries and the people comments on India are quite shameful, but I can’t deny the fact that we Indian love to carry our whole personal kitchen wherever we are. We need to learn to respect others cultures and at least the basic etiquette.
I am Indian, and I love to be indian, Where in India you can hear from everyone's mouth that money can buy everything. May be yes LOVE, please help me to buy, etiquette, manners, etc..
That is why EXACTLY I mention to people that by the way I am NOT INDIAN (I am ss real Sri Lankan, But look more like a Punjab/Indian/Pakistani) not because of anything else but for this particular reasons mentioned Sorry my Indian friends!
We never get a chance to say, like, We are not Sri Lankans to anyone, because others don't know if it is a country by itself. But yes, point taken, Indians need to behave so well in the future that 'other similar looking people' remain silent to others treating them as Indians, I mean, taking false credits.
As if Sri Lankans have descended from heaven. And why are you emphasizing that you look like Punjabi or Pakistani? Are you ashamed of the dark skin of your fellow countrymen?
I also feel frustrated when, even at the airport, many people push into the queue as if it's a local train. On the plane, many will bump into the seats in front of them. It becomes a real hassle, especially when they are traveling in groups.
I have always observed in India and most will get up the moment the plane hits the runway ....as if their luggage will be taken by someone....the flight attendant keeps shouting and they don't listen....let's accept breaking law makes us look cool....
In my experience Indian men will not listen to women, it doesn’t matter what job they’re in. I had Indian students in my country that I had to go to the classroom of so called adults, who wouldn’t listen to their highly educated and qualified Teacher and ignore her telling them to be quiet and listen. I had to go and shout at them, and threaten them with expulsion unless they showed some respect.
True...these people needs to be reminded of civic sense and public manners before frying...not making noise at public and listening to others and also replying when asked a questions r very important...finally yes..MONEY CAN BUY LUXURY BUT NOT CLASS....
We had gone to the Modi event in US. At the end of the event, some company had kindly given free snacks to the attendees. But our dear bhai log instead of lining up and graciously taking the free snacks, acted like they had never seen food and crowded around the tiny truck. The 2 men inside looked scared. Our people literally grabbed the free snacks as though it was the last food on earth. And to think, these were all well dressed, well to do Indians living abroad. It was shameful seeing this. Come on. We're no longer under British rule. Time to let go of our poverty mindset. Time to realize that Congress is also no longer ruling over a garib country. But we're now in a prosperous country under Modi.. time we behave better before someone makes a TV show about this.
What has congress got to do with this. Stop dreaming that modi has improved the perception about Indians. Just listen to his election speeches, full of hate and venom and very discriminatory.
The British actually civilised the Indians by their police danda to behave. Now that is gone after independence and they are reverting back. Acche din aye.
It's a combination of new money and an overbloated sense of entitlement. If you leave the village, learn to adapt to city etiquette. But to be fair, you will see such behaviour everywhere in the world.
I am sorry that i never took indian airlines. Usually travel to dubai from there i take sri lankan Airlines (very well disciplined) then travel to india. Directly from canada to india is a hell. People stink and disrespect. What a shame.
What I'm glad about reading in the comments is that everyone acknowledges that there is a problem, and not blaming the airline or the other country. This itself has solved 50% of the issue .
I do agree with you all but the airlines also should make a sincere attempt to teach them how to exit before the flight takes off by means of a video or an announcement asking them to get according to their seating position.
Ahh man tell me about it. I feel the difference as soon as entering the gate to catch flight to India. People do not follow the queue, try to push you off, even if you give way to women with kids they make such a frowny face instead of a Thank you, people with over sized carry bag, getting their bags on and off the overhead locker multiple times, even if the head attendant points the person out in the announcement.
Even there you must of heard of this Indian man coming from USA urinated on a sleeping senior Indian woman passenger and blamed it on her. Nothing happened to him by the Indian authorities .connections with the BJP but he was fired from his job in the USA. It’s la in the Indian mentality of caste discrimination . No respect to the poor or ordinary people
I do sometimes, but can't afford it often.. Besides, no matter which class, we all have the right to travel safely and in peace, not have other people fouling or messing our seats or surrounds.
Some people treat public place as there own property & behave as whatever they want. Airline should start charging them behavioural charges if they misbehave
It is same for decades. Saudi Arabia was dry state. So people get in to the return flight people used drink , vomiting and also toilets used be so dirty. So many people were forced to come back as they drunk. Even crew will say not to drink.
I visit Thailand and Malaysia almost every year until covid game. A group of students probably might have accidently broke a beer bottle in 7/11 and I felt bad for the cashier. Those guys never cared. I immediately offered help to that girl which brought big smile on the girls face. I always say one thing in any of these types of post. You become an ambassador of your country once you leave /depart from India. Better behave well the moment you get into plane. It doesn't mean we can behave bad in India but atleast we should become serious once we get into any country.
Read the comments below and can truly relate with each one of them. Its almost like the crowd etiquette suddenly changes once you have a majority of Indian people in the flight. But must add that did notice that flights to Chennai wasn't like that and people behaved so normally.
I saw this kind of incident travelling between Ahmedabad Hyderabad, there is a group of like 8-10 people, they prefer going to other's seats and standing mid flight. It is strange and kind of first time in 15 years of air travel in India. I am not clearly supporting this kind of behavior. Yeah, there is this behavior picking their luggage immediately when it touches down. I think people should at least put their phones in flight mode as a minimum. Of course, when we are outside of India, every small thing matters. It all hits our reputation and country's image. However, I didn't see anything really alarming to be honest.
Sadly yes this happens especially when tbe flight is to india they get authoritative and i have personally witnessed this , i am travelling for 16 years now and i have to admit that our countrymen have to learn travel etiquettes and eduvating in schools about etiquettes is the best option
But the thing is that for far off people, most South Asians will look similar. So whether you are South Indian or Sri lankan, you will also receive brunt of these actions. Reverse also happens in the sense that Pakistani and Bangaldeshi actions will be pinned on to Indians
Definitely this is a problem on a whole …a month a go I travelled air sir Lanka and a lady behind me was talking quite loud to a person 4 isles behind her ….this went on for 30% of the flight from Colombo to Melbourne….absolutely no concern for fellow passengers…. am guessing that she felt that she has charted the flight….shameful totally no respect to fellow travellers…
I have had really bad experiences when we were working in Oman. Some passengers expect you to carry their liquor bottles if they see that we don’t have carryons. Second is the fact that the passengers jump out their seats as soon as the wheels touch the tarmac and start opening overhead bins and crowding the aisles. The worst experience I’ve had is unruly children who are usually ignored by their parents. They’re sitting behind your seat, pulling at your seat, pulling your hair, kicking the seat in front of them with their feet and all their strength.
It's very much in every public place . Attitude hardly can be changed. How much can a person learn in a 14 - to 16-hour flight? Inherited values always go along.
General public behaviour is terrible. In Perth , Australia they never follow the queues at bus stops and as for the yapping loudly non stop on public transport is unbelievable. As for driving well thats another story. Blame it on the government for not having induction / introduction lessons.
You are so right.." money does not buy class". My husband and i were travelling on a luxury cruiseliner in the Baltic, a family of Indian men entered the dining hall and despite the hall being almost empty they decided to sit at the table next to ours, talking loudly, laughing, shouting, singing and eventually one guy takes his slippers off and puts his feet on the dining table. 😮. This kind of behavior we don't do in our own houses, zero respect for others and misbehaving on a 5 star cruise liner was just so embarrassing. As Indians ourselves from South Africa we were in total shock. We thought your upbringing was first class, you always portrayed in movies as so humble and respectful. I think the poor people have more respect and class. If you decide to travel internationally kindly leave your filthy habits for your household.
Disgusting!! I have come across such incidents many times in International and domestic flights. This is happening not only in international/domestic flights but also in overseas trains and public places. NO ETIQUETTES, NO RESPECT FOR SURROUNDING, AND THEY ARE SHAMELESS!! They may have qualifications, jobs and money yet uncivilised!! Airlines should file case against them for causing inconvenience to co passengers and must be arrested on arrival with hefty penalties and include them in no fly list.
It all starts In the home from childhood. If a child is taught good manners and respect for others, you don’t need to tell them to queue properly, not spit in the streets, pick nose in public etc
I would expect charges on the individual and not generalizing to the entire nation. Look around on other samples and get your facts checked. Jai Bharath 🇮🇳 and we stand unite❤
India Pakistan Nepal bangaladesh srilanka all theses country people behaviour are almost same , we need to improve in so many things, not only just civic Sense. Had British ruled us few more years they would have taught us so many things
True, money can buy you a plane ticket, not etiquette, basic manners and civic sense!
This all guys are chodu going to Thailand for chodum chaddi you expect civic sense from them?
Well said. Money can not buy class!
And respect for establishment.

That is the reason Indians are now exposed all over world and us govt passed bill sb 403.
Indians suddenly saw a little bit of money and started traveling internationally but they still think and act it's Indian Railways SL Sleeper Class coach.
Middle class indians*. Most of Indians from that category do such things
They don't see suddenly, they work hard and earn

Disgusting behaviour.
This is the reason other are calling Indians “smelly dirty and no manners”.
Fake story!
No wonder the world is so disgusted with Indians
Absolutely 💯 correct
In Bali, we don't want to have India tourist, please.
I AM TRULY ASHAMED.
after 34 yrs how're u still ashamed?? u shouldve gotten used to this 3 decades ago or alteast 2 decs
It is true, just after landing I received bags on my head dropped by passengers in a hurry!no excuses and no manners...
🤦🏻
Happens everywhere. Have seen gora Canadians do it also.
That's actually an international problem. Europeans definitely do that a lot, too. Maybe Indians start earlier and do it with even less restraint, but it's really universal behaviour. There must be something in the circumstances that makes it hard to resist the temptation.
I totally agree. Ask any flight crew and they will all say the same. A lot of them dread to be rostered on a flight to India
Domestic flights in India are a nightmare. Touchdown and the search belts go off with everyone standing up to open the overhead bins. Madness. I remember, once a foreign lady commented in the flight" thank God , I don't live in this country!"
Anyone who is not born in this country should thank God for it. 😂😂😂😂
V. SAD
I don't blame her.
And what happened after sidi they fight or something bad happened
I work at an airport and I see they always have a sense of entitlement
That goes for all categories i.e. adults and children women and men, young and old, rich and poor, abled and disabled.
If an airline has provided a free wheelchair to ferry a passenger who is too weak or has some challenges, many passengers from India will demand the same type of service to be provided for them by arguing for their rights.
They also smell bad and carry bulk hand lugage. Very primitive behaviour, pushy, loud and demanding.
which one? they are hated all over the world. banned in many countries bars ie south korea, japan, thailand, hong kong, dubai. this is fact cause i personally seen then tried to get in when i was there and were forbiden. i am sik to death of the oh rasicm. no its not your actions as whole go up and down if you are welcome or not. fun fact japanese tourists the worlds most like tourists they always quiet, never scam any hotel. never obnixous. for western countreis id be the english or australian the most hated where ever they travel to.
They are a rather arrogant bunch!
Vishwaguru mentality
Why only International flights??? I recently travelled within India on different routes and the behavior was just like you are travelling in a Bus. As soon as the plane land every gets up and when the doors open to let the passengers out, everyone wants to get out first . rather than waiting for each row to clear. My dad who has seen action in 1963 in Himalayan border, used to say that it is not the over population that is the problem , but rather the "Quality" of the population that is the problem. Here the quality means in many ways that I don't want to elaborate.
True... No quality
👏👍
@TSheikh-of2pj Not necessarily. Once these ill mannered lot are let out of the cage, they go berserk, especially with similar peer groups and they show off, get intoxicated with free drink, binge and become obnoxious.
Many people are not fit to be parents.
Yes, those who live with cattle behave like cattle.
Indians have become very wealthy and frankly most Indians are decent people. However, this kind of thing is depressing. Especially if you are a westerner with positive feelings about India and speak highly of the country to others. It is good to see the press addressing this. Perhaps things will change
I've never seen a westener with positive things about india
They bring their ill behavior along wherever they go.
Very true.
@@avshiva I had one country bumpkin from Ketala drop a tape recorder on hear that he had stored as cabin baggage in the overhead. compartment.

Chinese nationals do exactly the same. It is a stampede having travelled extensively but mostly Upper class Economy/Business
Yes, I have witnessed a similar case myself although in domestic flight
There should be a rule that anyone needing wheelchairs bring a medical certificate from a reputed hospital.
it's proved - " Money doesn't get you class " 😇
And age doesn’t prove maturity.
Most are very stingy and don't even offer much money.
My experience with air India and it was my last time flying the airlines, primarily becoz of the travellers, not the airlines.
Its a reality and there is lot to improve behaviour/civic senses. We as Indian can only regret of such people's behaviour etc.
I never heard the word "polite" taught to Indian children...
Yes schools should, but Should be taught From home first !
It's already taught in all schools. But caste practitioners don't learn anything other than what is taught in their madrassa houses/families.
Go to school and see how the teachers behave Haha 😂😂
They don't know the meaning of etiquette or table manner in restaurants I'm not kidding seen it all they have no shame school should teach them
Thank you for bringing this issue to all. We need to add body odor awareness, too.
That's racism. Not nice. Someone should have taught you good manners.
It all starts with moral science and family up bringing.😢
YES
8000 years of civilisation but never left nothing good for indians?
It's not moral, it's about growing up in a society where safety is priority.
Yes but schools must teach civic sense and Manners. When I landed at Mumbai from Heathrow Indian children at the carousel stepped beyond the yellow line to retrieve baggage. Asked the Indians why are you pushing and shoving my heavy case could slip and hurt you just STOP.

i was shocked when i travel in bangladish biman airlines way worse than this. well not indians but banglishi men. didnt listen at all ie stop smoking in a non smoking flight. didnt even want to fasten seat belts. refused 100% listen to any lady stewardess. several times had to get the male steward over for them to even stop fuking smoking etc. worst behaviour of very many planes and differnet airlines ever been on
Same here travelling internationally for the last 40 years all over similar experience
As a white Westerner who has lived in India, this is a cultural phenomenon. I’ve witnessed it most with people whom have not travelled by air previously and do not understand the norms. Maybe a campaign by the airlines may help the situation. 🙏🏻
True Sir.
I was looking for this comment 👍🏽
Sorry for you. Was travelling on Singapore Airlines to Mumbai and 3 Indian kids running up and down the Isle. Complained to Stewardess as glasses of wine water could cause safety issues. Was told that they will lose their jobs. Stopped one and told them to Stop where are your parents at the back so I shouted in Hindi get back stop disturbing everyone.
True. I too was cabin crew for 29 years & had to go thru all this nonsense by our Indian brothers.😢
100% right.
I have seen elders behaviour nice & good in my childhood. Today I am 33 and the elder peoples behave like a arrogant teenager.
That is because of the neorichness
Education should come from school , including teaching family. My parents came from India but because they live with multi culture people they soon learned to live together and unlearned bad behaviours.
Education is the key. Schools must teach manners in Schools.
Parents should teach it at home. Leave school out of it. Most peoples kids are little turds and treat teachers like crap.

Ha ha ha .. in 2016, I was traveling from Washington DC to New Delhi via Doha through Qatar Airways.
I request you to report such incidents.
Um... You could have alerted the air hostess? Instead of being shameful.

MONEY DOESN'T GET YOU CLASS. Very true
As a South Asian in USA when someone assumes I’m an jndian it offense the hell outta me
Blond & blue….highly recommended.
Still same I went this time to visit my family back in India and behaviour of my fellow passengers made me quirk
I think passengers who do not obey rules she be dealt with by the law. They shed be detained at the airport in a separate room for at least a couple of hours
OMG i thought if their could be worse behaviour and etiquettes than of Pakistanis? But competition exists
Maybe Singaporeans are queue-trained and well behaved BUT Pakis ??? I am shocked.
These people not behaving during flights not obeying flight crews instructions should be fined and or detained.
Today I saw a similar kind of video on Instagram, where a guy is literally selling tea on that small cup from a thermos exactly like on the train.. and he didn't stop there he was also yelling hai...chai...
There is a reason why we get so much hate.
Our country PM also did that at one time. If people we vote for don't have sense of civility how will we have tough laws to internalize it
Why don't ppl learn behavior.
Very well said hope people learn from this video
I was in Vistara 2 years in business Delhi to Chandigarh.
Behind me there were 2 people speaking like if they were in a market.
I called the air hostess but she was too afraid of them.
Indian Aviation authorities should identify these trouble making people so that they are arrested after landing,
Aviation authorities cannot let such hooliganism spread to the detriment of respectable people.
😂😂😂😂
Also they try to come out of the plane instead of leaving line by line. Wait for your front row to move out first before you get ahead .
Lots of 3rd world countries are very civilized . In India lots of corrupt people became very rich very suddenly. At home they all are above laws . So they behave in that manner. It reflects our state chracter a semi colony still ruled by Colonial laws and state machine owned by the colonial collaborators.

Air travel etiquette is unknown amongst Indians. A good upbringing shows regardless.
Unfortunately, we don't have the training in schools yet

That is why EXACTLY I mention to people that by the way I am NOT INDIAN (I am ss real Sri Lankan, But look more like a Punjab/Indian/Pakistani) not because of anything else but for this particular reasons mentioned Sorry my Indian friends!
We never get a chance to say, like, We are not Sri Lankans to anyone, because others don't know if it is a country by itself. Its not for all section but some section that really doesn’t care other.
I also feel frustrated when, even at the airport, many people push into the queue as if it's a local train. On the plane, many will bump into the seats in front of them. It becomes a real hassle, especially when they are traveling in groups.
Well said, all passengers need to be aware of respect and dignity to attract the same. ❤

What I'm glad about reading in the comments is that everyone acknowledges that there is a problem, and not blaming the airline or the other country. This itself has solved 50% of the issue .
The people with the most unruly behaviour are "content creators" themselves. Always shoving their cameras in everyone's faces all the time.
I do agree with you all but the airlines also should make a sincere attempt to teach them how to exit before the flight takes off by means of a video or an announcement asking them to get according to their seating position.
ये फ्लाईट है या खाऊ गल्ली / फिश मार्केट ?!
This is why I travel Business Class
Even there you must of heard of this Indian man coming from USA urinated on a sleeping senior Indian woman passenger and blamed it on her. Nothing happened to him by the Indian authorities .connections with the BJP but he was fired from his job in the USA. It’s la in the Indian mentality of caste discrimination . No respect to the poor or ordinary people
I do sometimes, but can't afford it often.. Besides, no matter which class, we all have the right to travel safely and in peace, not have other people fouling or messing our seats or surrounds.
The business class gets crowded with curry 😂. Pay 10x and still get them people.
There's no business class in most of the domestic flights.
Yes, this is true. we some Indians do this ..I was travelling from Qatar to India 🇮🇳 I have experienced this on flight ✈️
Some people treat public place as there own property & behave as whatever they want. Airline should start charging them behavioural charges if they misbehave
Absolutely correct, agree with you.
It is same for decades. Saudi Arabia was dry state. So people get in to the return flight people used drink , vomiting and also toilets used be so dirty. So many people were forced to come back as they drunk. Even crew will say not to drink.
Are you feeling better now after taking your medicine 😂😂
Except if there are North Indian passengers.
South Indians are more educated
Yes
Its the bihar of the world i guess😂
@@srutadiptaroy90 add Gujarat also
Sadly yes this happens especially when tbe flight is to india they get authoritative and i have personally witnessed this , i am travelling for 16 years now and i have to admit that our countrymen have to learn travel etiquettes and eduvating in schools about etiquettes is the best option
Please Don't say Indians, say North Indians from hindi belt / cow belt regions.
But the thing is that for far off people, most South Asians will look similar. So whether you are South Indian or Sri lankan, you will also receive brunt of these actions. Reverse also happens in the sense that Pakistani and Bangaldeshi actions will be pinned on to Indians
Very wise and sensible comments , thank you.🙏🏽
Ofcourse these flight from north part of India 😂😂😂
I’m lucky I travel from Singapore to Kochi and the majority of the people are very nice.
True we also faced same situation.
It is sad. I face a similar experience.
indians hated worldwide
Hope these peoples are विश्वगुरु followers 😅😅😅😅😅❤😅😅😅 and bjp supporters 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
😂😂😂😂😂
If the government shows no interest in being role models to the people but acts badly what can one say…
What is the solution u suggest? Authorities need to take action
It all starts In the home from childhood. If a child is taught good manners and respect for others, you don’t need to tell them to queue properly, not spit in the streets, pick nose in public etc
Vishwa Guru 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I would expect charges on the individual and not generalizing to the entire nation. Look around on other samples and get your facts checked. Jai Bharath 🇮🇳 and we stand unite❤
Reminds me of the Cattle Class 😂
India Pakistan Nepal bangaladesh srilanka all theses country people behaviour are almost same , we need to improve in so many things, not only just civic Sense.
Had British ruled us few more years they would have taught us so many things
In India they have to teach this all in school lack of good education.
