Episode 8: The Journey of being On-the-Road to Hosting my own Event

- In this week's episode, I’m taking you along my journey of having my business On-the-Road where I was doing events every weekend to finally deciding to slow down and pick the most profitable vendor events to now hosting my own event. This was a several-year journey with lots of changes to my business.
Looking back, I've realized there is never a dull moment in my business, and I wouldn't change this journey for one single minute!! You need to take the good with the bad and learn! A business is ever-changing, and you need to roll with it!
I hope to see many of you at my October Event which is October 3-5, 2024. If you can't make the it to the Creative Retreat, I'd love to see you at the Market!

Hello Becky. I have thought about that, but I don’t think the internet connection would support an online workshop. These classes are more of a hands on experience.😊

Another great podcast Sonnet. I have a question, when you considered creating your own even did you take into account the fiascos you had at Cranberry fest and other events and how did you address those when you decided on your location, time, season, etc.
I decided the time of the year because it’s the same weekend as a Vintage Shop Hop around my town. I thought it would be perfect to be a part of the Shop Hop as well as having a retreat with all of the amazing creators. My friend asked if I wanted to rent her barn out for the event and it was perfect! 😊

What days is the event and what town?
The event will be held from October 3rd - 5th. There are two tickets for the creative retreat. One is for the Friday and Saturday events. The other is a VIP ticket which also includes a more personal meet and greet with the creatives and a workshop with me. 😊 The shop hop with the vendors will be held in the Barn and does not require a ticket to attend.
