I’ve always wanted to fight a rathalos in the usual games, but I started liking to bond with some of them because of this game and the first game from 2016
Thanks for sharing. Yea, I used to enjoy hunting erm in MH, but after this one, it opens up the opportunity for the hunter (us) to bond with erm monsters, especially these vicious, ferocious, colourful cute rathalos.
As cool as it is for Rathian's scorching slice to be a slicing wheel of element but they should've done that in the first game due to Rite of Channeling having different elemental attack while in second game since there is no elemental change, the Base and Pink can have different colored wheels like they did in the first game(Base being Green and Pink's being pink).

If I’m being honest removing element changing of monsters and changing their Color’s was a MASSIVE loss for me, like that was the only thing that kept me playing after beating the game Also I hate that they have made it so some monsters are faster than you. Every egg hunt it would be almost impossible to escape a monster due to how narrow dens are and forcing me in an un fleeable battle

Say, I'm not fully knowledgeable about the variants of the Rathalos and Rathians... What's the lore about them? Who's stronger between the Gold/Silver King and Queen or the Dread King and Queen?
Lore wise, not much atleast not in depth but for the obvious 1 male 1 female and they can mate to new ratha or rathian. Dreadking is supposed to be the strongest ratha variant, Silver's easily the second due to it's very well rounder fighting style + faster, while Dreadqueen is probably ranked behind both of erm. Gold rathian is tanky but not stronger than the 3 mentioned.
I believe it is confirmed that the rare specimens of the species, Gold and Silver rath are mid-tier elder dragon level e.g Kushala and Teostra. The two deviants here, Dreadking and Queen I cannot say. Based on their abilities and combat prowess one could safely assume they can reach that same level or even beyond. However, of the 24 Deviants I believe only 1/3 of them would be able to match the power of higher elders. Those being Elderfrost Gammoth, Soulseer Mizutsune, Boltreaver Astalos, Hellblade Glavenus, Bloodbath Diablos, Thunderlord Zinogre, Dreadking Rathalos himself and Grimclaw Tigrex. But in additon, Dreadking Rathalos is supposed to be naturally passive to the hunter, whether this extends to the monsters it shares the environment with is unlikley but still a possibility and I know nothing about the Razewing Rathalos unique to the MHS2 universe, so I can say with honesty that I do not know who is stronger. Tis a very intriguing subject. (open to discussion)
I'd say Silver and Gold, if only slightly. They have much sturdier shelling on their heads, and are immune to Dragon element rather than weak to it. Plus they have that incandescent mode.
