- Today we tell the dramatic story of Orestes, the young hero condemned by the gods to carry out a terrible action: avenging the death of his father Agamemnon by killing his mother Clytemnestra.

The story begins with Orestes stabbing Aegisthus, Clytemnestra's lover and Agamemnon's murderer. But his task is not finished. Driven by the will of Zeus and the prophecies of Apollo, Orestes finds himself in Argos, facing his mother. The drama intensifies when Clytemnestra, recognizing her son, tries to dissuade him. Despite his doubts and internal conflict, Orestes is encouraged by his faithful friend Pylades to fulfill his destiny.
The tragic act of the matricide does not go unnoticed in the eyes of the Erinyes, the terrible divinities of revenge, who persecute Orestes with nightmares and remorse. Desperate and cursed, the young hero seeks refuge in Delphi, under the protection of Apollo, and is guided towards an even greater destiny: the first human trial in history, on the Areopagus of Athens.
Presided over by the goddess Athena, the tribunal decides Orestes' fate in an epochal verdict that marks the transition from an ancient form of divine justice to a more human and balanced one.
The defense of Apollo and the accusation of the Erinyes collide in a debate that explores the boundaries of justice and revenge.
But Orestes' story doesn't end here. You will discover how, despite the verdict, Orestes' torment continues, pushing him towards another undertaking in distant Tauris, where he will face new challenges and meet an unexpected fate.

Bellissima narrazione dell'Orestea. La mitologia greca è Bellissima.
