      Its not better. This is the worst way to rig one i have ever seen. You can skip the gill and just put the hook in the back. Use a circle hook if you thing theres too much hook…. Think of it like putting fish on a stringer. You put something through the gills, fish is dead. Dead bait isnt good at catching fish

  • @chelseycunningham5951
    @chelseycunningham5951 Год назад +316

      The main thing is if u got big bluegill on u they can’t peck him off the hook. Like when u just hook them thru the head they either gotta take it or they can’t get it or peck it off this is a great way to target what ur after or u will get sownrhing decent sized of any species

    I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)

      Yes sir. This is for crappie fishing. This is for when the bluegill won’t leave me alone, they can’t take the minnow off as easy this way.

    Why would you waste time with minnows to catch bluegill? You can catch 30 bluegill on the same Dead Worm

    My uncle always tried several different ways from when the wheels a little kid and now that I'm older he always had us try right behind the dorsal fin just like you say not in the belly it will kill it but in the back you place it in the same position in front of the dorsifit but in the back if you go too low you will touch the nervous system spinal cord and it paralyzes the middle good percentage of the time sometimes it will touch him just right and he will come to life sometimes I believe that hook touches something nerves or something and it paralyzes it when I used to hook just too low pass the back coloration of the green getting close to the White but they used to hook them through the eyes through the head and then we learn all the mental can stay alive man you made me think about a trigger like a reminiscing I just love these reals sometimes you seem pretty knowledgeable I would love to join you you do not seem like the type they were need a babysitter require babysitting I may even learn something from you from what I see already you remind me of my uncle he was a fisherman on the wharf
