heyy, i'm gonna be joining manipal main campus this year. Is there any possibility of getting my branch changed when I reach there at the campus for document registration? and if yes then what are the requirements to do so, like any written application or anything?

I got selected for IT in main campus, Should I go for it or join cs in some good college in banglore??
There are lots of specialization in cse in manipal main campus, cutoff of cse is around 1500 and with specialization it goes up to 4k. I just want to know that is there any placement differences between the core cse and cse specialization or they get the same opportunities. Technically cse should have better placement offers as it's harder to get.( My rank is 287 )
Not much difference. Most of the companies come for cs dept as whole and not for any particular branch...
My cgpa is just above 8 by third year end in IT . Will I be able to get shortlisted for product companies offering good package ,like microsoft ?
Yes...most of them set the bar above 7.5 cgpa... Mostly it depends on ur branch as well... you should be in cs related branch for microsoft.
Shortlisting is based on the online tests and interviews as well...Hope it helps...

Placements in electronics dept in general are good. Vlsi is a new branch, so am not sure about that. They are also allowed to compete with cs dept student for IT based jobs...Hope it helps..

I am getting cse in mit manipal and also in lnmiit and some other tier 2,3 iiits . What should I do, which one should I go for. fees is not the problem for me .
Cse in manipal is a great choice. It has good curriculum n great placements as well... But am not aware of tier 2, 3 iits. So cant give a direct ans on this.

For Branch upgradation - 9 is the safe cgpa at the end of 1st year.
EEE is really good but very difficult branch. Placements are also great

I have no idea on Blr campus. I can't comment on that. But eee in manipal main is one of the toughest branch with good placements. So, i suggest u to go with the branch you like and ask someone abt blr campus before choosing. Hope it helps✌🏻

Yea, eee is one of the difficult branch. But has good placements. Personally, I would choose a difficult subject than studying a subject that i dont like.
So choose wisely.

Hey I got Mit manipal cse, but i feel i can get into iits next year. Would you suggest drop or choosing between what i have currently?
IIT is the best whereas MIT is above average and comes after IIT as said in the video. CSE in Manipal Main Campus is a great option. U can go for it from my opinion. Keep in mind that competition during placements also will be high in MIT and curriculum is good too.
But if you strongly think that u will get into IIT next year, then work on it. I am unable to give a clear cut solution for this. Its your choice. Hope it helps...

Placements are decent. No,they cant sit for cse placements. Only electronicd dept can do

Competion will be high for branch change. 9 cgpa is important.
Chemical is okay branch, placements are also limited, not good.

Very difficult because of competition...Should have more than 9 cgpa..also depends on vacancy that time. Hope it helps..

Course is good and placements are decent. But competition is high
HOW ARE PLACEMENTS AND TEACHING FOR MECHATRONICS
Placements are decent and teaching is above average. Most of the prof are phd holders and few are guiding student proj and start ups...over all good ✌🏻

I dont have any idea on blr campus but any courses related to cs dept is worth it in main campus (manipal ) and has good placements. The competition will also be high. Working hard is important once u got the admission

Manipal main campus is the best one considering other campuses. I personally dont have any idea on bangalore campus. But it is a recent one, labs n equipments may be new...but the main campus have more experienced professors n integrity. Hope it helps...

Syllabus is good. Faculties are experienced. Placements are decents ( above average if you study n work really hard ) competition is high

It is a good branch. Moderately difficult. Professors are great. Placements are decent. The course have high value if you go for higher studies outside country.

CPS is a new branch. No batch has attended placements yet. So i have no idea about the branch. But CS department is the best in MIT Main campus.

ECE is a great branch. Placements are also good and they are also allowed to sit for cs dept placements in 7th sem. ECE is a difficult branch.
U can also upgrade to any cs related branch if you could get cgp around 9 at the end of 1st year.
I have no idea about bangalore campus.
