Does it rut
Not any more than other standers. With only a 32" base, it will rut more often than most wider bases, but it just requires the person mowing to be a bit more aware of their surroundings. I've rutted twice. Both times it was my fault for attempting to go into an area that I should not have entered.

Ye that pedal sticking out past the tyre is a dumb idea
Wonder why they didn't think it would be a problem for people needing a true 32" mower to get in small gates
