    yes the 30mm is 968 M030 ,biggest factory sway bar , rear was 3way 19mm. If you want bigger you have to go aftermarket

      Awesome, thanks! I’ll stick with the front. Interested to measure the back, it’s been upgraded as well.

    To swap to late offset, do you just need to change to late offset control arms, and add some additional length to the tie-rod, and then use wheels appropriate for new offset?

    Really loving these videos (even if i am late to the party). No idea why it has taken youtube a year of me watching 944 videos to recommend me your videos. Thanks for doing all the hard work to produce these.

    When I modified my 951 years ago I didn't know about the late offset deal, after kinesis wheels , bilstein struts , and fab car control arms and the lindsey. Racing big brake kit. the late offset deal is not an option. 😄

      Yeah, there's really no performance difference, I just liked the brake and wheel options better on the late offset. Yours sounds well sorted!

    Nice 968 M030 sway. And order your ball joint kit from Travis at Rennbay he will hook you up!

      Thanks! I actually ordered it from Jason at Paragon, but it is the Rennbay kit. I did not go with the longer pin kit, wondering if that was a mistake?

      Boost Brothers Garage I would have since the car will be lower it’s to help with bump steer and not to destroy the ball joints but honestly I see a lot track not use those arms they are known to crack and break. Ealy car guys use the steel one and the weld in gussets to make them stronger or spend the big bucks for tubular arms. Talk to Jason or mike at paragon really nice people over there!

      Would love to go aftermarket arms in the future, and will, but gotta start somewhere! Thanks for the insight!

    If you look at the end of the Tie Rod Bolt you can see a recess were you can insert either a torx of Hex bit to stop the bolt turning,

      Michael Kane I’ll have to look again, I don’t remember seeing that? Then again maybe I just overlooked it in my fit of rage.

    What year was the late suspension set-up used on 944’s?

    • @BoostBrothersGarage
      @BoostBrothersGarage  6 лет назад

      I’m not 100% sure ? I actually traded a set of wheels for the full late offset setup. I think it was an ‘87 but again I’m not sure. Sorry!

    • @malcolmnunes8331
      @malcolmnunes8331 2 года назад

      86 and before was early offset. When Porsche introduced ABS as an option in 87, all the wheel speed sensors pushed the wheel hubs out. So anything 87 or later has late offset, regardless of whether you have ABS or not.

  • @curvs4me

    Bro, swap out the hubs for single lug wheels. Make a bracket to hold the big wrench. Nobody will steal those, they won't have the wrench to remove them and cannot use the wheels anyway ha ha.

      Hahaha, I wish I could afford a center lock setup, that would be SWEET!
