Skill haste has significant diminishing returns. I used to run this same build, but changed out several of the skill haste rolls with armor regen for more survivability
Did the same. And replaced the red core for a blue one in case I get shot by a sniper. I also use the harmony in case the AR gets out of ammo (which happens more easily in Tidal Basin legendary)
@@inkr329 honestly, I changed them all to armor regen. You get a lot of haste just from empress alone. And you can always add skill haste mods to the gear if you feel you need more
@@inkr329 I now have 4 armor regen attributes, I kept 2 skill haste attributes. My 3 mods are protection from elites, they also add some survivability. I know all the blue stuff isn't according to DPS-standards, but it keeps me alive in Tidal Basin, especially since I run a glass canon chest. PS For the boss fight in Tidal I switch to a PFE-build.
I run this sort of setup of a skill build, but instead I use hard wired gear set. Roll everything to skill damage, put on skill haste mods where you can, run the capacitor/test subject or you could run test subject/scorpio. I chose to pick demolitionist specialization for my first skill being the mortar turret, and then I chose cluster mines for my second skill. Chuck the cluster mines, wait for the skill to go on cooldown, drop your mortar turret, chuck another cluster mine, repeat every 10 seconds. Very fun build!
As the skills are long-lasting (+5 min) and capacitor provides a lot of CHD I rolled skill damage on every piece and CHC and CHD incl. Mods so that I reach 50% CHC and 90% CHD. That includes the Foxes Prayer and as secondary the Harmony. Pistol is Kard (not TDI-Kard, as the extra Skill-Tear is waste) with DTOOC and inSync as well for Pistol only Directive, but Slege Hammer should be fine as well. Backpacktalent is Tech-support as it lasts much longer than and especially at Capitol were there are 3 encounters with not a lot of shooting possibilities when playing with randoms it provides better skill damage. Last piece in Wyvern for more skill damage :-)
I love skill builds. The build I use is technician, Ninjabike bag, picaros rerolled to skill tier, fox's knees, Walker & Harris chest with spotter for amp damage, Palisades steelworks mask and gloves both rerolled to weapon cores. That's 6 weapon cores, 5 skill tiers, and one armor core. Harmony with linked laser pointer as primary, capacitor as secondary, sidearm is a kard custom for 6 skill tiers, put future perfect on it and 1 kill grants overcharge. This is my go to build, my absolute favorite. My weapons hit hard, my skills hit hard, and both give me armor on kill, its amazing. 👌
@@joshbarthur I'm still farming for the perfect pieces so some of my attributes right now are a little off but what I'm hoping for is two weapon handling attributes then five crt chc and 4 crt dmg attributes/mods. I also have crt chc as the third attribute on my harmony so it's about even with my capacitor. You could replace the weapon handling for even more crt chc/dmg or perhaps even skill damage or haste but I think it really helps with the harmony and only improves the capacitor even more.
@@joshbarthur I just double checked what my actual attributes are and I have crt chc on the knees and holster, armor regen and crt chc on the gloves, skill dmg and armor regen on the chest with a crt chc mod, skill dmg and crt dmg on the mask with another crt chc mod and then finally a crt dmg mod on the backpack. The armor regen helps add survivability and the extra 20% skill dmg is effectively giving me 6 skill tiers so perhaps rnJesus already blessed me with the perfect build but I still think I would prefer the extra weapon handling and crt dmg. 🤷♂️
I have a similar skill build with the technician, ninja bike, Brazos (Picaros holster) and Palisade but I also use a 2 piece gila guard (chill out mask) so I can have pfe gear mods alongside extra armour and armour regen, plus all my bits which would be red are blue so I'm more tanky as a skill build. If you also max your armour, capacitor and drones then you have 6 bars of armour and over 130k damage on the capacitor.
@@eliterusher1649 I also have an explosive resistance/armor regen skill build but it's got glass cannon on it so I wouldn't call it tanky. Turret and drone, of course. I've been having a lot of fun using it solo during this reanimated event.

sorry but this type of builds where its only skill damage without using weapon only makes the legendary more difficult in party for others who actually make damage with their weapon because then all npc focus them and suppress while you stay in cover all time and doesnt trigger fire from npcs like you dont exist what is the reason why its more difficult for other people who actually play and shoot their weapon in a shooter game
