I built my Vanquish VS4-10pro in March of this year. This truck is very expensive. I have built over 40 different R/C cars. This was the most enjoyable build that I have ever done. You open one bag at a time and all the parts you need for that step are there. In fact, if you finish a build step and you have extra parts you did something wrong. This truck builds like a Tamiya kit but with lots of American made metal parts. Also, the body is already cut out. All you have to do is paint it. Also, you do need to buy all the fluids needed to build this truck. You will need, Thread lock, Shock oil and the grease for the gears. I do think the fluids should have been included with this kit. You will also need all of the electronics, but this is normal for a competition kit. Thoughts?
I definitely agree and the Ultra is even better with the portal axles. Although the pro kit has better transmission parts. Did u like the tires in the kit? I thought they were to small.
I like the color you chose :) I got one for Christmas and peinted it black as the diff are black so I wanted back on black :) I think the same way, why did they put cheaper stuff like the motor plate with the ultra?! I ordered the Machined Gear Set as the composite gears I got with mine did a clicking sound when running, I also installed the aluminium plate for the motor and the rode on each side of the transmission and also bought the light set, it's a solid rig and I love it, I have 6 crawlers and this is, by far, my favorite.
Thank you... its an awesome truck. Once I put the machined gears in it def seemed to smooth out the tranny i still need the aluminum rods. Not to important but it looks nicer with them...This kit should have came with them and the machined gears for sure... thank you 👍👍
@@fxrc3086 The aluminium rods on the transmission make it more sturdy, the ones in plastic, I tightened the screws too hard and they started to turn inside the rods.
Thank you... there SSD and i think they come in 25mm and 21mm widths. Not sure if they will work with other rims though. If the widths are right they might👍👍
Thank you...I got the rims at Amain hobbys...SSD00324 there SSD RC 1.9 Rugged beadlock weels... in silver and black beadlock... the brass ring is part # SSD00388
Thank u... the rims are 1.9 SSD aluminum beadlock and the tires are 1.9 proline hyrax and I think its the predator compound. I got mine from Amain hobbies the tires You can get anywhere that sells proline tires
I've been wanting a vanquish really bad but the more I look into the more disappointed I am. Its a beautiful truck but very expensive for not being an rtr.
It's an awesome truck but I know what u mean, plus the price went up. So it's going to be at least 1100$ U.S. and for that u could build an Amazing rig... the best part about the vs4 is the tranny the axles and drive shafts. The ultra has the better portals axles however treal 10 iii axles r better and the pro has the better machined gears in the tranny but u can get them for the ultra which I've done on mine. So it is alot of $ but you do get alot, whether it's worth it is up to you I geuss👍👍

Siiick!!👍👍💪💪💪
Would you recommend this for trailing, in the mud?
Thats a good question, I dont see why not but even know it has sealed barings the axles, transmission, ect.. if submerged will take on water
@@fxrc3086 I have got mine on the way. Will do mainly trailing
@@davecchio nice... It such a nice truck overall!👍👍 I would def upgrade the tires the stock ones suck
@@fxrc3086 I have got a set of Hyrax and BF Goodrich Mud Terrain ready. Should be enough?
@@davecchio I have hyrax on mine... how are those BF Goodrich??👍👍
What model of SLW hubs did you get?
I believe they are the aluminum 475 or the 600. Im thinking probably the 600
