What a beautiful place, so wild and timeless. It's hard to imagine people living there five hundred years ago! You found some lovely pieces, looking forward to Sundays video 😊 x
Thanks so much Amanda ! We love visiting castles and it's always amazing to walk on stone steps, that are so worn, they have a shape or stand in a bread oven the size of me :) I would have loved to have seen the castle when it was in one piece, it has such awesome views! xo
We are so lucky to have so many amazing, and very quiet, places around us!! We have to get back along to this one - its such an amazing landscape! :D So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much, Best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
I enjoy looking all the rocks, shells, and fossils around the sea glass. As always, enjoy your little side journeys and history walks while Nicole is hunting treasures.
Thanks so much Barbara! We were so happy with this new beach, sea glass and landscape were amazing :) We must go back! So glad you enjoyed the history xo
It was a great place - such an incredible landscape! And the find finds were great!! Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo Hope you enjoy Sunday! :D
So glad you enjoyed it - we'll have to get along to McDuff's castle soon! Its in a very insteresting location! Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
Another beach all for yourselves!!! 🐚 so peaceful there. Not a single car or plane. Wow that’s the place to be. I would have loved to have seen the castle in all its glory. Great finds! The cobalt blue pieces were so deep blue in color. Beautiful. Thank you for the day out. Much fun. Take care you two! Be safe. 🌹 xo
The Fife coast is really amazing - there are a few beaches where 'everyone' goes to, but there are so many other places that just get ignored - perfect for us! :D Some are quite tricky to get to, but thats part of the fun! :D So glad you enjoyed it... a wee bit of space in a crwoded world! :D Thank you so much, best wishes, stay safe and well, Nicole & Craig xo
It's a cold, snowy morning here in northern Michigan so it's the perfect time to sit and enjoy your wonderful videos. Really enjoy the two of you and your enthusiasm at the treasures you find. As always, thank you for taking us all along.
Awesome video, stunning scenery with history of the tower and surrounding areas and top it off with beautiful finds, thank you for sharing, take care and stay safe and well 👏👏👏👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖
Many thanks! :D Its a great wee bay - so glad you enjoyed the video and the wee bit of the areas history - its so interesting to think about all these past events when we visit these places! Thank you so much! Stay safe and well, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
So beautiful 😍 💖 💗 why would you want to live anywhere else........oh yes for a bit of heat on our bones lol cracking finds cant wait to see what you make with this collection xxx
It's such a lovely place and we truly enjoyed finding all these new beaches :) Wouldn't mind keeping the sunshine a bit longer! The sea glass from Ardross is stunning and it made lovely jewellery xo Thanks ever so much Alex !!!
As usual, I am very impressed with the documentation of your video and historical info. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the very colorful finds today.
Thanks so much Lynn! We love knowing what happened in the places we go to and imagine what people looked like who walked the same beaches hundreds of years prior to us.... :)
@@scottishmudlarking I really enjoyed the kaleidoscope what an amazing result. I’m planning visiting west coast of Scotland next year I’m making note of all these wonderful places🙂
Thanks so much Camille! We were so happy with the sea glass and the lavender glass is always a very special find, knowing it was made somewhere before 1930s :) Take care and greetings to OZ xo
Love all the pieces of seaglasss such beautiful colours, I can’t wait to see what you do with all those pretties. Such an interesting history of the area that you visited. Beautiful seaside ❤️🇦🇺🐚 xxx
So many stories from the Fife coast - so glad you enjoyed it!! :D Its always amazing to think about all those people and events in these places! Its a wee bt different on Sunday - a wee bit psychedelic!! Hope you enjoy it! :D Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
That blue sea glass you always find Nicole has such depth of color. Definitely your trademark color and matches the lovely blue on the Scottish flag! Sue and Ian, Australia
Its always a real treat to find blues amd those cobalt blues are the best! :D That's a lovely thought - the sky, the sea, the flag and the wonderful sea glass! :D Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
Hi Nicole and Craig, I really get seaglass envy🤪 while watching you find so many amazing pieces of sea glass. And the colored shells are gorgeous, really love the blue ones!😍 Love the little history lesson about the ruins on top of the dune. I'm watching all old episodes of Time Team at this moment. They also explain the use of shells in the mortar. There's also an episode about the caves near Buckhaven. Quite interesting to see. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend! Big hug and lots of love xoxo ❤, Ilona
Thanks so much Ilona! Oh the caves are amazing , we took a tour a few years ago... they are so close to the Sea, that one day they might vanish! We are so happy with the new beaches we have been exploring and it's always an extra bonus if there is nice sea glass or something else to find :) Have a lovely weekend and week ahead , take care and hugs xo Nicole & Craig
Lovely video to watch. I'm always amazed how quiet the beaches are. Not many people seem to have the same idea as you and explore. Maybe they are not in the video. Its a beautiful location. Thank you for exlaining the walls and history of the area. i cant wait to see the finished kaleidoscope. As kids we sometimes had them as birthday gifts.
Thanks so much Beate! The Fife Coastal Path goes past this beach and many others we visit. It's very popular but most people are out walking and don't stop at the beach... although there are other people there, we only go to places when very few people are there. In general we don't film if there are more than 5 people at any given place! Ardross cove is stunning, the landscape there is amazing and we were so surprised the sea glass was so well frosted! xo
I can't believe we had never explored that part of the coast, but I guess you get stuck with favourite beaches and don't look beyond unless you are making films :) We truly enjoyed Ardross and the views and sea glass were both stunning! Thanks Christine xo
* The seams in the cliff are very interesting. Gives the cove Character. Thanks for Sharing. The tiny yellow may not be a Gem by itself, but would give nice contrast in a small bottle pendant..
Thanks so much Leslye! The cove is a great place, and seeing those rock layers is always so special :) Tiny sea glass pieces are always so lovely to find !
Gorgeous scenery! So pretty, I am green with envy 😉. Hope to visit Scotland once travel restrictions are lifted from the Netherlands. Thx for taking me on this trip. Greetings from an armchair traveller...
The clear sea glass pieces look like ice. Would be fun to make something playing off of the appearance of ice. I always wish I lived close to a big body of water each time you guys visit a beach!
Beautiful sea glass! Brilliant idea a kaleidoscope ! I was looking also at the tiniest color chert rock that would make cute tree of life pendants and small mosaics and for filling small bottles with. Wonderful colors and such cute shells!
Thanks so much Debra! We had to change the kaleidoscope to a firmer one in the end, the kits were too flimsy and didn't have the best result... Tree of life pendants are lovely! :)
Hi there, thanks for an interesting video. Lots of lovely finds, and interesting bit of history. I think l heard Sand Martins in the background, then it looked like holes in the high sandy bank, may have been the birds nesting place. It seems a bit late for them though. 🤔 Loved the flower photos. Looking forward to Sunday.....Alioban xx
Thanks ever so much Alison! We filmed the video a little over 4 weeks ago so you might have heard the sand martins :) We are always so amazed that we can find a new stretch of coast that we haven't yet visited and then to find some sea glass too! xo
Oh Inger who knows... we always see so many things when Craig edits the video and the tides will have washed those treasures away by that time! It might have been a pearl.... more reason to go back to that stunning beach! xo
Thanks so much Tracey! I doubt the sea glass is from way back when the castle was in use, it's more likely to date around 150 years ago :) You never know, some glass might date back longer! xo

Thanks so much Roberta! We are so happy to have found that little gem on our coast :)
I thought a Tabby was a moggie. Lol. Looking forward to craft Sunday.
A tabby is indeed also a cat :) Lol! Thanks so much Chris ! xo

You were on one of my favourite East Neuk seaglass beaches, the seaglass is so lovely, very frosted and smooth.
I can't believe we had never explored that part of the coast, but I guess you get stuck with favourite beaches and don't look beyond unless you are making films :) We truly enjoyed Ardross and the views and sea glass were both stunning! Thanks Christine xo

You missed a pearl Craig, where you found the blue small piece at 19.53-54, up to the right for that small blue, a white pearl:-)
Oh Inger who knows... we always see so many things when Craig edits the video and the tides will have washed those treasures away by that time! It might have been a pearl.... more reason to go back to that stunning beach! xo
You should post a more up close picture of the Agate to see if we can help identify it
That's a great idea! I am sure I had meant to take a photo of those grey pieces at the time.... We'll try and put a pic up on our community page ! xo
Just out of curiosity, but do you think some of the glass you're picking up came from the castles. Wow that's exciting just thinking about it.
Thanks so much Tracey! I doubt the sea glass is from way back when the castle was in use, it's more likely to date around 150 years ago :) You never know, some glass might date back longer! xo
