This is me now by Jlo is actually a great album, the sound is coherent and fresh while maintaining a clear early 2000s aesthetic, it seems to me a great project that I enjoy a lot and considering that she paid for everything herself which I find remarkable, something that her haters will never be able to achieve.
How can JLo, with 250M Instagram followers, only sell 14k albums in the first week after 10 years? This proves that hardly anyone cares about her music, and her fame seems to revolve more around what she’s wearing or whatever else she's doing. I was curious who is actually listening to her music, and it turns out, almost no one.
She still has 26 million monthly lsiteners on Spotify, she has many hits. People just didnt buy or stream the new one enough. Doesnt take away selling 50 million albums in the past and having #1 movies

No one buys albums anymore. This conversation is dishonest and pointless imo. All of their money is in touring, no one really cares about album sales. Apple Music and Spotify killed “albums” years ago.
@@gilbertokoxx3559right. People still buy albums, it only depends on the album and their fans. Taylor, even if her last album isn't that great, managed to sell millions of copies all because of the Swifties.

I heard Sia , Meghan Trainor, Jasón Derulo . They all are all good catchy albums that are on repeat on my playlist. I haven’t heard the rest of the others lol
Why do we call things a flop when an album from a different country doesn't chart in the US? Like the US isn't the center of the world and artists from different countries don't have to prove themselves on US charts.
I see a lot of these albums being by artists who had gigantic hits in the past, but now with much longer careers. For some of them, it really seems that they're taking advantage of the shift in the music industry towards more ownership of their craft, and more creative freedom. That results in a lower than expected charting success, since now they're doing the music that they want, rather than the music that sells (think Zayn, Camilla Cabello). A lot of these artists are also gently moving towards the natural decrease of their career, with their fanbase becoming less hooked on music (Zayn, Camilla, Zara, Normani, Justin Timberlake), and their style naturally fading out of fashion (Sia, JLo, Jason Derulo). But if there is talent, a remarkable voice and a strong direction, the faithful fans will remain there.
It’s definitely her most interesting album that she has ever released but it was a hot mess. There are songs that i really enjoyed for example dade dreaming, pink xoxo, and pretty when I cry.

No is not.
Absolutely not...that person it's so annoying
Wow! Seems like the celebs are HUNGRY or going broke this year. Soooo many albums out in 2024.
I didn't even know most of these artists released music in 2024 😱 Tinashe's album was solid though. Such a work of art. Stop sleeping on this woman!!
I thought that Jlo album was a soundtrack to some soap opera so i wasn't interested 😂
JLo is an industry plant with no discernible talent that make a career off of stealing from black women without crediting them so I wasn't interested.
C,xoxo is so unique it needs time to grow on you. People sleeping on it rn.
Tori Kelly's album is so good. It sucks that it didn't get enough recognition.
You can add Nelly Furtado 7 to that list
What happened to her? Loose (2006) was one of the biggest albums of the second half of the 2000s (and Whoa, Nelly! the first half).
This is me now by Jlo is actually a great album, the sound is coherent and fresh while maintaining a clear early 2000s aesthetic, it seems to me a great project that I enjoy a lot and considering that she paid for everything herself which I find remarkable, something that her haters will never be able to achieve.
Lol
I AGREE I LOVE HER ALBUM AND EARLY 2000S SOUND SHE HAD
How much did she pay you
143 by Katy Perry coming soon on part 2 💀
I love Tinashe and Normani ❤❤
143 is coming... 🙃
The flop of flops is coming!
The biggest flop is among us all
With how much y'all are obsessed I'm surprised lol
I didn't know alot of these albums were released 😭
Chloe's album definitely deseves more success and attention it deserves. This album was absolutely a step up from her first album.
Katy Perry
Lady Gaga
I think with the music moving completely online we will more and more artists releasing just singles and EPs and not full albums
How can JLo, with 250M Instagram followers, only sell 14k albums in the first week after 10 years? This proves that hardly anyone cares about her music, and her fame seems to revolve more around what she’s wearing or whatever else she's doing. I was curious who is actually listening to her music, and it turns out, almost no one.
jlo is famous for being famous and that’s all. She never had a fanbase and her tour flopped badly, the are even photos of half empty stages lmao
One moment she’s a singer, the next an actress, then an influencer.
She still has 26 million monthly lsiteners on Spotify, she has many hits. People just didnt buy or stream the new one enough. Doesnt take away selling 50 million albums in the past and having #1 movies
Oh also 250M followrs worldwide, this are the US sales. Her album actually did manage to go top ten in some european countries, so...
People don’t listen to Jlo’s songs! It doesn’t matter if she has that number of followers. It’s better to have 90 million as Shakira and being extremely successful with tours streams and views
Quality doesn’t mean quantity!!! Shakira’s fans are solid and she has a loyal fanbase
No one buys albums anymore. This conversation is dishonest and pointless imo. All of their money is in touring, no one really cares about album sales. Apple Music and Spotify killed “albums” years ago.
Taylor and Beyoncé sell ZILLIONS of albums. There's a whole nostalgia driven market for physical shit that you are unaware of.
@@gilbertokoxx3559right. People still buy albums, it only depends on the album and their fans. Taylor, even if her last album isn't that great, managed to sell millions of copies all because of the Swifties.
Can we stop saying everything flops--don't you get tired 🙄 music doesn't have to reach everyone to be a success
The hell, music is Business, if it did badly in sales it definitely flopped.
Sad to see C, XOXO and Reasonable women here 😢
C, XOXO is album that's really very different and unique from all the album released this
Reasonable Women is album of sia with high vocals and orthodox singing this album is amazing ❤
My local radio stations, I swear, mix in so many old songs with the top ten. Imagine if it was just this year releases. It would have been full of new music to try at the very least.
I heard Sia , Meghan Trainor, Jasón Derulo . They all are all good catchy albums that are on repeat on my playlist. I haven’t heard the rest of the others lol
Please check out Zara! Her music is addicting 😊
desliked the video because we don't accept Tinashe slander in this house.
🤣🤣
She flopped whether you like it or not
@@rydbthatsme flops only happen when big labels are behind them. Lmao shit is irrelevant to Tinashe
I don't even know half of these people haha. I loved Jennifer's album
Tori had a great album but whoever handles her promotion did a very bad job!
CAN WE STOP CALLED FLOP TO THE MUSIC?????? JUST ENJOY IT!!!!!
143 katy perry , ice spice y2k, both flopped embarrassingly love it theyr both terrible
Sia deserves better, only true fans love the album
I know. That album is better than most albums released this year😢
NGL, CXOXO was the first project I liked from Camila. Before, I only liked a song or two from each album.
It’s definitely her most interesting album that she has ever released but it was a hot mess. There are songs that i really enjoyed for example dade dreaming, pink xoxo, and pretty when I cry.
@@daydreaminavenue My personal faves were B.O.A.T., June Gloom, and I Luv It (without the rap). Someone said this was definitely her true sound and she just needed to perfect it, and I'd like to see that happen.
@@OpticalSorcerer B.O.A.T was so good and I agree with everything you said. I just wished that the album was a bit more fleshed out, not a bad album but it could’ve used more work
@@daydreaminavenue Latin hyperpop would certainly be something to see. That said, I do think they need to process her vocals a little less.
The one time he can't put Taylor in the thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣
350M 0f stream in a single Day , 1.1Billion of stream in a single week most streamed album in a Day in spotify history you can call that a flop 💀
@@Prettyreader3Love Taylor, but you really didn’t need to bring the others into this. Taylor has 33 songs, accept reality. If she had 11-13, it wouldn’t even be a million in a week.
@@SFAvgeekyou keep telling yourself that💀
@@SFAvgeek Beyonce had 27 songs and still tanked
@@mikeandthediamonds Billie and Ariana had less thank 15. Beyoncé yh. She got destroyed.
I really enjoyed most of these albums, but this year was very competitive and a handful of artists got all the attention, not leaving much else for the rest.
I’ve been listening to Tori, Zara and Sia for years and I didn’t even hear one word about the release until their albums. But I’m gonna check out Zara’s and Tori, so thnx.
Ice Spice! That shit went triple plastic.
How, she doubled her album sales from her debut. It did well.
@@ellieamissah3759 I checked. You stand correct
Cloe shouldn't cry about her first two albums not hitting it ... remember Janet Jackson's first 2 albums didn't hit it either...Control was her 3rd album ...so keep hitting it Cloe....u r very talented❤
T
I feel so bad for jlo her album is so perfect And so as the film and the whole era but people are so negative now days they want to see people fall and fail and they don’t like music about love and positivity all they want people shading each other and write bad lyrics to their exes
KHALID'S ALBUM IS SO GOOD! HIS BEST YET! I DONT GET WHAT HAPPENED??
Camila was underpromoted & i dont like Tinashe's latest release at all (i say that as a very disappointed longtime fan of hers who loved 333/Songs For You/Aquarius), but "Nasty" is arguably the song of the year. It definitely blew up. Its a huge win for her as an independent artist.
Tori deserved better, is one of my favorite albums this year along with Trouble in paradise. From This is me now i like Dear Ben II, the title track and Not going anywhere
that's a lot of flops for so many popular artists with a lot of fans around the world.. maybe it says something about the current industry as a whole. I think it's gonna be more and more difficult for them to sell albums especially if they're not as big as Ariana Grande, The Weeknd etc
What a beautiful message, Camila! 😭
You are an excellent singer. I appreciate your dedication to music. Your talent has no limits💋. Your music deeply connects with the audience, and you manage to convey genuine emotions in every performance. Your ART IS ENDLESS. YOU ARE AMAZING, ILUVIT.
Everything I Thought It Was isn't a flop.....his tour is selling well and Selfish is doing well
Concert sales and album sales are entirely different.. People show up to his shows to hear his previous hits.. And will continue..😂.. I doubt he featured much from his last two albums..
@@edreid7872exactly
The album flopped, he himself is doing very well though, both things can be true like how mercury act 2 by imagine dragons flopped, but 2021 was an amazing year for them
Im happy radical optimism was not mentioned because people keeping saying it flipped and I must say i might have been a commercial flop but the album is a masterpiece and one of my favorites of this year. Maybe my favorite. Brat and Kansas anymore are also very good
143 by katy perry. That record is bound to flop so hard!
Zara Larsson and Camilla Cabello were robbed AF... At least Charli xcx received the success she definitely deserved!
Camila ❤
yall have the worst takes ever... zara, tori and tinashe aren't massive mainstream artists so why are we acting as if they're flopping when they're clearly not.
ya'll stop hating just because it ain't mainstream don't mean it ain't good diversify ur taste and just admit ur the problem 🙄and no listening to yes, and don't make you speciAL
This Is Me... Now by Jennifer Lopez is one of her best works. I'm glad she made that album coz money/sales is nothing compared to it's essence.
It’s called I LUV IT NOT I LOVE YOU
She even flopped in this floppers video 😅
Hated that song and album was worse
Normani mistake was she released an album of ALREADY LEAKED TRACKS!!!
Every single one of them were out four yrs ago!
tori kelly needs promo her album was so good
ı dont understand why people hate C,XOXO
Justin era is gone.. Funny case is how Katy Perry still has the media around her and MTV support this year but her lead single this year was a mess. See girls like Tori Kelly and JoJo have humongous talents but it’s a given they will « flop » because people have no ears but idk maybe their persona are not appealing to people because they are just so amazing as singers. I’m still hoping for JoJo successful return after broadway and I’m hoping for Christina Aguilera to come back stronger because it’s now or never. Idk where the ppl from early 2000s went but can’t they support their artists ?
