Fab - easiest template for this type of pull handle. The battery powered routers are fab these days, much easier to handle than the big heavy duty versions on the market!
@@SingleTrack66 : Not if you have a Festool OF-2200 like I do which is 7.8kg (without attachments or bits) and Robin’s Milwaukee Router (which I think is the M18 Fuel Trim Router) with a battery pack is 3.6kg which is over half the weight of my 240V mains powered router. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Festool but it’s a bit cumbersome to do quick fire tasks like this!
You got the hands of Maradona when it comes to wood work My dad was a carpenter in his day but got parkinsons now Me and my son do a bit but mostly plumbing and electrics all the best mate
the possibilities with those small palm routers is endless, i put of buying one for months but use it everyday now. Also would it be possible for you to post a video on pricing a job, there's not really much on youtube, I'm wanting to take on bigger jobs such as bar to flat conversions and block extensions, but not too sure where to start
I just use a sharp knife and a chisel to scoop out, its pretty quick also no dust and very quiet , only in MDF though, I rout in solid wood, good tip though, cheers love you channel
So if we are using these on a pocket door that is located between a bedroom and bathroom. Therefore there will need to be a pull installed on each side of the door. Will the pulls “butt up” against each other in the center of the hollow door then?
Hi Julie, They will not meet but they will be connected by their trough fixings, there is a thin flanged rim that stops them from falling right through
Great. I’ve fitted loads lately and normally do it free hand. I’ll be knocking one of these up. Also do you currently have stock in for your hinge jig.
Hi ya rob. What cutter are you using. Bearing on top part or guide. See you changed the depth. It’s amazing the methods us carpenters find to make our lives easier! Stay safe. Regards Chris
HI Chris it is a top bearing template cutter like the one in this link amzn.to/3tBB3xL you are right mate we need to be creative to make our lives easier!!
You inspired me to make a template for routing the rebates for the box keep and face plate for mortice deadlocks after watching your beautifully precise hinge and lock installations. I haven't managed the quality of your finishes yet, but one day!
