That drive at 0:55 😍 Such gorgeous views! I'd be pronouncing the name wrong too. I'm awful with pronunciations. Bosnia looks like such a beautiful country to visit. Your guide is so friendly! Those wood carvings are incredible!
It was very pretty! (Sadly, there was too much litter near the side of the roads/rivers...) Yes, we enjoyed Belma as a guide--she has a knack for what she does 🙂
Wow Bosnia definitely seems like a great place for a road trip, the mountains are gorgeous and that bridge was beautiful. The carving museum is beautiful, the detail is really crazy!
Wow Bosnia looks so nice. All these homes, surrounded by mountains. This video is also informative - will definitely refer to it, if I visit Bosnia one day. Keep up the great work
Having a local guide is so valuable. Especially where the language is an issue- helps when gathering pertinent information about the place you are visiting.
Yet another beautiful place, you guys are making me want to head out on my own road trip! You did a great job of detailing all of the prices in this one, that airbnb was so affordable! So interesting to hear from the locals about the culture and history. The wood carving guy was hilarious! So was pronunciation lesson at the end haha
I bet you're craving another trip about now! Yeah, we actually found that apartment on Booking--one of the more comfortable beds; so many beds on our trip were so hard--and I generally like a firm mattress. We actually sat there with the wood carving guy and a couple of his friends for over an hour and a half...he was a philosophizing fool--a lot of what he said, I have said in my own way in videos, so maybe I just am onto something 😂
I like April's idea of breakfast! I love all the mountains around. Yeah that is a very affordable place. The wood carving is stunning. Love his passion for his job.
Replying again... 😬 LOL, the sweets there were SO good (says April)...not too sweet and fresh-tasting! Yes, the wood carvings were insanely intricate! We actually sat with him, a couple of his friends and our tour guide for over an hour and a half...he philosophized and "preached" and we drank delicious local rose tea and had a local dessert served by his wife...talk about a quintessential travel experience!!
such an underated country, i got a ride with young brit fellas back in 2016 from belgrade went to illidza and mostar i didnt have much time in sarajevo
Wood carving museum is something I haven't heard of before... how interesting! She said it was really famous but it seemed like you guys were the only one in there.
Since we were there off-season, we were there with a couple of their friends... It is a UNESCO site and likely more famous in Bosnia/Europe than here...but I'm guessing if you are a fan of or do woodcarving, you have probably heard of them 😃
Konjic looks like another gorgeous place! /it's the amazing geology all around that really makes it! Nice to meet some locals in your video, they are the experts!
What a beautiful town. Lol at trying to master the pronunciation. I love the shot from the hill overlooking the river. So sad about the mosque being damaged in the war though! And that wood carving is seriously impressive, especially that huge table.
We really enjoyed our time here; the people were friendly and generous! We think it is neat that they kept the mosque as a reminder. Yep, those wood carvings were insanely good!
That was such a deal for the hotel! $27 USD! I love Booking.com for that reason. The wood carving was very cool. Nice to learn more about it and hear directly from the maker.
Yes, we actually sat with him and a couple of his friends and discussed various points of life for over an hour! His wife brought traditional Bosnian rose tea and a traditional Bosnian dessert--both were so good
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap Everything is great, I hope you will have a chance to stop by again. I don't know much English I hope we understand each other. 👋👋🙂
Especially for me, hahaha! Yep, and they sent us with an extra sandwich and salad--refusing pay...so generous! It's a steal of a deal for the tour we did...10 Euros!! They have several other tours to choose from too. Their website is in the description ;-)
MDF? What is MDF? 😂 Plastic or real?! I'm crying... 😂 Glad to see how cheap Bosnia is. My wallet will be thankful when I head there in a couple of months 🙌 Thanks for the informative video
LOL, right?! We ended up sitting with him and a couple of his friends and listened to him "preach/philosophize" for another hour and a half or so...we were even treated to a local rose tea that was oh-so tasty and a traditional sweet snack...it was one of the highlights of our time in Bosnia! Are you going to be passing through Konjic? If so, you MUST meet up for at least a few hours with Belma and she will show you around--could even get you on a river rafting trip, or something
Meeting the locals is what makes travelling such an enlightening experience. Good editing and interesting video.
Definitely; it's what I love most about traveling! Thanks for watching

Plus she was so friendly and introduced us to other friendly (and generous) Bosnians! Thank you for watching our video all the way through ;-)
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap Being (Nature) guides ourselves ( hubby and I) I can appreciate the added value she would have made to your visit.
Oh, that's neat you and your husband do that! What kind of nature tours do you guide on?
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap My husband is more active than I am. We guide in our National Park Hollands Biesbosch in Dordrecht.
Very nice!

It's an underrated Bosnian city, for sure

Such amazing carvings! Loved the intricacies of the carvings on wood. Brilliantly captured. Such local experiences give a new meaning to travel!
Very impressive wood carving, yes! It surely does elevate our travel experience 👍

I would love to visit all the ex-yugoslavia states. Especially seeing/visiting those family own business, I would love to see them in person.
We highly recommend the ones we went to! And we hope to get back to visit the ones we haven't been to yet. Yes, Bosnian people were fantastic
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap I bet! Need to put it on my short list.

Haha, the pronunciations...always a challenge. How much is it to do a tour with Feel Bosnia? Great deal on that sandwich. So inexpensive :)

So much horns there, wonder indeed as well for what it was. And such a great deal you have for the hotel.
