The Queen indeed!
First, I want to say that I got this Final Jeopardy! clue right and secondly, Congratulations to Victoria on winning the 2024 Jeopardy! Master, she deserved is she is AWESOME, and it was a pleasure to watch her.
Not so fun fact: This is the first time James Holzhauer lost a tournament since the Greatest of All Time Tournament, when he came in second place. This is also the first time James came in third in a tournament.
Bonus not so fun fact: Because Yogesh's 2024 Tournament of Champions victory led him to the Masters Tournament, no matter what happened, Ben Chan is knocked out of the top 25 all time winners including tournaments. I actually meant to bring this up since the first game and I kept forgetting! Credit to Andy Saunders for the top 25 list.
Yogesh is now in 11th place in all time winnings, including tournaments, at $596,403, beating Roger Craig's all time total of $556,200.
I think now Yogesh is 12th, Victoria with her 500K win tonight, and 100K for the JIT is 11th. But Ben Chan had the inspiring story of beating not just contestants but also COVID too to get to the TOC, so if anything, HE, not Amy Schneider, should have gotten "Producer's Pick." (Given Amy didn't get a single match point in the semis, that's one more argument to have Ben in the JIT in 2025. Possibly have BEN, not AMY, for Producer's Pick 2025.)
I was expecting Cris Pannullo to be in the ToC finals if Jared Watson didn't win the quarterfinals. But I'm pretty sure we'll see Cris again in next year's Invitational Tournament.
@@mackenziewachter2508 We'll see Cris probably, and hopefully see Ben Chen too. As a COVID survivor, to fight both COVID and a lot of human opponents to be second in the 2024 TOC for $100,000 is no small feat.
@@mackenziewachter2508 Troy Meyer and Ben Chan will also be in next year's Invitational Tournament for sure along with Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Hannah Wilson, Juveria Zaheer, and Brad Rutter. And 19 more players
Victoria is the prime example of being a good sport and winning with humility.
Exactly!
Which is why we Love the Queen.
Being in medicine, this is one of the few final jeopardy answers I knew!
they were all great players. Congrats Victoria. James is soo funny
Congratulations to Victoria. If she was able to easily roll over James, then she is a true Jeopardy champion. She earned the right to hold her trophy high, although I’m sure she prefers the money.
All hail the Queen!
This was the 1st time my pick won The Finals of a tournament in “WAY. TOO. LONG!!!”
Congrats Queen Groce.
All Hail Queen Victoria! She broke the bank of the High Roller! :P
Good for Her 🎉
Yay! 🎉🎉🎉
So happy James the guy who crowned himself, didn’t stand a chance.
Congratulations.
ChampYINZ 🖤💛

Awsome❤❤
NEW FINAL BOSS
Long may Queen Victoria Reign! Long may she win and long may she Chase!
I think we all learned a valuable lesson here today, and that goes to James: You can't just keep on winning the same title over and over again-you have to accept the fact that others can win the title, too.
Victoria pulled off one heck of a tournament overall, and she deserves to be extremely proud of what she has accomplished.
Nope, I came nowhere close!
Yogesh phrased his response in a weird manner, like 1989 TOC finalist Brian Wangsgard did. But he and James failed to dethrone the Queen, Victoria Groce. WTG, Victoria.
I think after VIctoria didn't use "What/Who" to phrase her question (which was acceptable as long as it was asked), Yogesh followed suit.
wtf james lost? & in third place? that's rare to see
I definitely wonder just how far Victoria Groce would've gone on Jeopardy had she first played the game like 3-5 years ago when she was really starting to become a top world quizzer instead of back when she was just a newbie in 2005. In her current form I legitimately think she'd be able to rival Ken Jennings' streak, and that's saying a lot.
$500k, nice haul
Comment to avoid spoilers.
Like that’s gonna make it to the top now.
@@pcgamer9823R worth a try...
Taken without her permission? She wanted to keep her cells and do what with them?
She didn't donate her body to science. There was no consent from her or her family.
@@AaronWilsonAnarchy it wasn't her body. It was a cell culture made from a tumor that was removed. It would be extremely strange for a family to request a tumor. Medical waste is normally discarded without anyone's consent. What would they want with it?
Fun fact: What Victoria Groce winning the Masters Tournament means is she won two tournaments in a row (Jeopardy Invitational Tournament and Masters), she defeated every single Master who ever played (Sam Buttrey, Andrew He, and Amy Schneider in JIT and Yogesh Raut, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, and James Holzhauer in Masters), and she won $600,000 in both tournaments! Adding her $22,801 from her original appearance, her $622,801 total puts her in 11th place all time earnings (including tournaments) on the Leaderboard of Legends, right below Matt Jackson's total of $623,612! This further means that no matter what happens in the next Masters Tournament, she'll beat Matt (and Larissa Kelly), placing her in 9th place all time, or potentially much higher!
It's also worth a reminder of the superchampions Victoria defeated in her Jeopardy career: David Madden, Matt Jackson, Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, and James Holzhauer!
Victoria Groce won $189 more than Matt Jackson. WOW!
Huzzah! The Queen has triumphed over the High Roller and "broke his bank"! She'll be defending "Jeopardy! Masters Champion" and have bragging rights going into "The Chase US." Now with $598,000, Yogesh I think is behind Victoria (250K for tonight and 250K for the 2024 TOC).
Seems like the only one she hasn't beaten is the one standing behind the lectern.
@@pjabrony8280 erm, except as someone behind the lectern, he’s recently making mistakes he shouldn’t be making.
@@Quaker-tc8ue No one is infallible. Shit happens.
Congrats to Victoria! While I'm sad my man James couldn't pull it off, I always have said that as long as someone not named Yogesh won I would be satisfied, and Victoria has demonstrated throughout this entire tournament that she is a truly incredible player with extremely deep knowledge, and she's clearly a very humble person too.
Overall, while I will say I preferred last year's Masters, this was still a fun season. Can't wait to see what Season 3 will bring!
We saw Mattea, Andrew and Sam in the crowd, did they wager on Victoria or James to be win the "Jeopardy! Masters Derby"?
I don't care for Yogesh. I wanted James to win, but I'm glad Victoria did, so I'm happy.
@@aeli999Same here. James was (and likely always will be) definitely my favorite contestant and so it's always a bit sad whenever he loses, but I also just really hate Yogesh and so as long as he didn't win I was likely gonna be very happy. It's definitely great to see someone very deserving take it all for sure!
Well since James was one of the 3 finalists, that automatically means he gets to return for next year’s tournament so maybe he’ll regain his champion title. Of course, that also means that Victoria and Yogash get to return as well. But James gets to be in it 3 years in a row.
@@NickTheEnlightened Hate is too strong a word for how I feel about him. Something about him is just off-putting though. I can't explain it.
Yes! The outcome I wanted to see! Victoria gracefully locking out Yogesh in the second half of the finals was music to my ears because from what I’ve heard in the news, Yogesh is not only cruel but also a sore loser who not even has a speck of humility or a charming story to offer.
Congratulations, Victoria! Yogesh & James, you came, you saw…, you got dethroned.
Whoohoo!! I was rooting for Victoria!! Congratulations!
@congrats@🎊🙏🙏🙏
Emma is gonna be so proud of you!
A few weeks back, when the daytime show ended its months of various tournaments, it was re-freshing to see ordninary and more fallible contestants. Then J started this prime-time event. And I just had no interest. None. I don't want to see professional players. Let's reduce the number of tournaments, and go back to when a tournament was infrequent and special, and not a gimmick.
THE TREBEK TROPHY HAS COME TO THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH!
Congratulations victoria on winning jeopardy masters
Congratulations Victoria you are jeopardy masters. 🎉
She's awesome, not everyone has one of them trophies.
Damn Victoria and Yogesh established this long ago, but damn do they belong in this tournament and future ones like it.
When it comes to all of these finalists I don't think there's anyone currently in the "Jeopardyverse" that can really stack up to them. I feel like unless any one of Yogesh, Victoria and James retire from playing they're probably gonna be the three finalists every single year, thus Jeopardy Masters will become less interesting over time.
Talk about boss fight... Imagine if after the new "Masters Champ" defeats all their opponents they then had to play one more game against Ken Jennings to receive the title 🤣
Technically the answer to “could it be lacks?” Is a yes or no style question so it doesnt fit with the clue.
As long as they said Lacks...it counted ? If not then James H came in 2nd !
The Jeopardy rules only require the response to be in the form of a question, not that it align with the clue. That’s why Matt Amodio can say “what’s” to start every response even if it’s about a person rather than a thing.
@@laowaiinshanghai7708 interesting. Did not know that thank you
