I think you nailed it! Stevie's lyrics are often obtuse or ethereal and open to interpretation. Christine McVie once said of Stevie's songwriting: "Who knows what it all means? But it sounds good."
Stevie is talking about making it as a Rock Star…She now lives in a big house but and has money but the most important thing in that house is the Blue Lamp. When she talks about the stars laughing and shining she means that no matter how much you have, the money the big house the career….what’s really important remains the same. Her guardian Angel is what kept her safe in her journey to become successful even with all the drugs and stress.
Good reaction, Man. This is one of Stevie Nicks' best underrated rockers. This was featured on the (adult-orientated Animated movie) Heavy Metal soundtrack, in late 1981.
I do think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the 1976 midnight special edition of Rhiannon, the one you did was nice but the midnight special edition it’s incredible. Great job with your reactions
This is one of my favorite songs by her. There are so many great songs from her solo career. Stand Back, Rooms on Fire, Edge of Seventeen are just a few to start with. Sorry I posted this on the wrong reaction before sorry
Great review. You are the only one who reacted to this song. I loved since hearing it on the Heavy Metal soundtrack in 1981. I consider it a deep cut that not many people know about.
This is actually a really good place to start on Stevie's solo career: "Blue Lamp" was the first song she recorded for the "Bella Donna" album. She ultimately couldn't find a place for it, but it remains one of her personal favorites.
@@realitybytezeveryone taste is different with certain songs of their favorite artists, but in my opinion, this song should atleast have airtime, I listen to this song atleast twice a week for the last 35 years of my life 😂
