Ask around.you did not go to white sand beach, the most relaxed beach in Bali.you did not go fishing with local boats.you did the tourist thing all about hotels and pools/food.You did not drive coast road to Amed, stunning scenery and a little scary.drive off road inland to local villages.sorry Candi my favourite village in Bali.
Thanks for watching but sadly we went during rainy season so weren't able to do much of what you've recommended, and yes, we're tourists so for our first time of course we'd be doing the touristy things! Glad you like the area and thanks for the tips for our next visit.
Gosh the resort’s pool area and your room was stunning! Top pick there! Sounds like it’s a nice change from the hustle and bustle. So odd not to see tourists in Bali?? Absolutely loveeeeee the drone work!! 😍
Thanks for watching! Yes the hotel was nice but sadly not much else was 🤣 it was good to say we have at least been there now but we wouldn't rush back!
That is such a shame to hear. I lived in Candidasa for 3 years and there is so much to see and do in the area. White Sand Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali IMO which is tucked away and a private oasis only a short drive from Candidasa. There are two historic villages to visit and various side and back roads where you can rent a scooter safely and easily enjoying the real aspect of Bali living. Boat rides to/from White Sand Beach or to local snorkelling spots are well worth a trip even on wet days. Candidasa does suffer from economic depression more so than some other tourist destinations, unfortunately. This was once a thriving little town with great bars and restaurants with live bands however it seems like things have changed since the eruptions and COVID.
Room looks lovely,Pity you didn't get snorkeling in with the rain better luck next time your return to Candi Dasa.Hope to see the Drone up and flying again.Brad looked most pleased to leave Candi Dasa look forward to the underwater video of snorkeling.😊
Try Kuta Lombok for a short side trip, not as developed as Bali, but quite some nice establishments, not too many but I think just enough, not too busy also, especially around Kuta Central area and Selong Belanak beach area. It's located just next to Bali.
Thank you for watching and for the recommendation! We shall take a look! Sounds like it is a little busier than Candi Dasa but not party central (which sounds good!) Cheers 😊
Some of the decent places we ate at were: *Wacky Jacky's Bali & WJ's Coffee Shop (our favourite for breakfast and lunch) *Joglo Bar & Restaurant *The Watergarden Kafe *Ciao Pizzeria Candidasa *New Queen Pub & Restaurant One that's extremely popular is Vincent's and we went there our first night for dinner. The ambience is lovely but the food was quite expensive for extremely average food - in our opinion! Many on Google reviews seem to disagree! Hope this helps, enjoy your trip!
