The tech on these modern hulls is amazing. I had a Cougar 25 MTR tunnel back in the day with twin modified 4 liter V8 Johnsons putting out 360 h.p. each, I could hit 102 if everything was perfect.
Great video Spence,,, 24 with a 300@118, can't argue with that. Can you give the particulars? Hull weight, Prop height from the pad, setback distance from the Keel, Prop pitch and style, Slip Factor -1%?, general numbers. Again cool vid.
i lost interest in go fast boats about 15 years ago. saying that, i would LOVE to own one of these tuff 24s. it kind of gets me fired up like the first time i rode in a magnum 27 in 1979 when i was 8 years old.
More drag, handling suffers, etc. The less lower unit in the water the less resistance since water creates a lot more drag than Air. Also, most of the props we run on These performance hulls are meant to be "surfaced", not buried like the basic props for runabout and other boats.
@@jimbograves1576 that Tuff is single engine V at 24 ft...runs 118mph....doubt anything else in the same class beats it anywhere....pls post a link of anything faster (same class) 😉

I need to make you a deflector plate for the underside of your jack plate so your not hydraulicing when the plate is low.
Do you have an example? I would like to learn more about those deflector plates
@@cmoikahk4505 look me up on FB ... and I can send some photos
What is the different if you keep down the engine?

@@spencelake1484 Thought it looked familiar. That thing is sweet. Gotta love the fast single engine v bottoms
Damn this was lame. Tired of "wimp" videos. 118? Haha. What hull is the engine bolted on? Show me something more dude, cause this is limp.
@@jimbograves1576 Show us your 24 foot v-bottom boat or similar size b-bottom that can go over 110 with the same power
