I'm so happy for Phillip! Ever since the beginning, when they announced that the next audition would be shocking, I was truly floored by him. He has such an amazingly humble and sweet personality. He's really something special :) And he definitely deserved to win the title of American Idol!
Phillip is beautiful inside and out......and he can sing!!! His girlfriend is adorable.
She's gorgeous! And I love how she's in a few scenes of the Home video.

Phillip is so modest and so amazing. That's true he never once mentioned his illness and never complained. I didn't even hear about it until way later on the internet I believe.

Phillip is truly amazing. He is so humble and his voice is so unique. If I were from the USA I would definitely vote for him. Really fed up with comments like "Jessica sings better blah-blah-blah,she should have won and etc." Phillip has won and there's no need to talk about it like this. Can't wait to see his first music video and buy an album :D
I met his girlfriend before (we go to the same school). I think we were talking about rooming together our freshman year instead of going in blind.
She's one of those girls who is just so wholesome and nice, that you can't help but like her. I'm not a fan of the show, but it seems like Phillip is the same way and they make a gorgeous couple.
I always used to see her make status updates about his performances and how proud she is. She's been his rock and I'm glad they have each other.

Phillip won because he came up with his own arrangements. And it didn't hurt that he has a killer smile, gorgeous eyes, and a humble personality. America likes someone who does things their way. It's not just the guitar (but it helps to play an instrument because it's not easy for everyone to play and sing at the same time); it's how someone makes a song their own that impresses most people. Jessica has great vocal skills, but she always went the route of imitating the originals (not easy).

Guys don't be so rude, Phillip said that she's one of the reasons he auditioned for American Idol, she keeps him grounded and she's supportive of him, all in all you should be glad Phillip has a girlfriend like her, in a way she kind of reminds me of the girl version of Phillip! You know how the trend of idol is now, after a year passes no one even remembers the winners from the previous season. I didn't watch at all this season but phillip does seem likable and I wish him the best definately. Same can be said for Jessica, who may end up doing better because she came in 2nd. The runner ups usually always have better careers.

Jessica is an absolutely incredible singer, but Phillip is an absolutely incredible artist. If anything, they deserved to be Top 2 :)
I don't recall Phillip getting on stage every day and whining about his kidneys.. PEOPLE asked... he answered.. He never said, "Vote for me.. I'm playing super sick." Jessica and Phillip are going to both have AMAZING careers, so i don't know why people bash on him for winning. He was talented and true to himself. He didn't bend to Hollywood and I loved that he always gave props to his band at the end of a song.... That's an artist....

lol If you follow her on Twitter, she seems like a very sweet person. Now that so many opportunities are available to him, she appears to be a bit clingy/overbearing, but not many in her position wouldn't be. They're from such a small town; they've been together for 3 years! I'm sure neither of them ever thought he'd be where he is right now. Who knows if they'll stay together (or fame will make them grow apart), but if he's happy with her and she's treating him well, what's not to like, right?
