Actually, the markers from Ecoline are made to use in combination with water. You also have ecoline in little jars, it’s a very very concentrated watercolor ink. So these markers are watercolor markers. It’s a Dutch brand. Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands!

That kitty doodle would make a great pattern for a sticker or washi tape.
The eraser fluit is most likely bleach! I was proud of myself for figuring that out lol. How it turned the black kinda orange was the tip off.

6:08 this is definitely the first time I've ever heard that you're not supposed to let the lead extend past the pipe on a mechanical pencil. I always do that and thought that's how you're supposed to do it. If you make it even with the pipe, it is going to scratch the paper! THAT'S NG (no good!) Lol 😂
I don’t know how you can draw with something that literally doesn’t reach past a point… but ya know what I’m gonna keep breaking the rules… and the lead. 😂
I have one of those pencils! It’s designed so that the lead breaks less and that’s why you’re not supposed to have it out of the pipe
these sort of pencils are made so that the metal part slides back a bit when you write/draw with it, exposing the lead!
@@KaseyTheGolden it’s supposed to not reach past the pipe, it retracts when you write with it automatically
You know what would be a fun long-term challenge project? Keeping a canvas/page on hand to "use up" left over paint on, see how it grows over time depending on what colors you have to use.
I just made one of the best sketchbook pages that I've ever made and this video just makes me want to draw another.

I thought you were going to use the “eraser fluid” stuff when you colored over the eyes by accident, then again when you had the swatch that led to the blue fire
You could have in either situation, but you embraced the happy accidents and they led to interesting results!

Speaking of droppers to add water to your paint, know what I did?? Some people may think this is gross, but bear with me. Let me explain. I had a bottle of saline nose spray that I used til empty. Then I cleaned it out really well with hot soapy water. The bottle wasn't one that you can open up. You have to squeeze it out of the water, the dip it in the water and let go so it sucks the water up into the bottle. I did that a few times to get it cleaned out. Then I filled it with plain water. And I use that as my dropper 😊I also took the label off and wrote on it with a sharpie that says it is plain water for painting
I used to use a cat medicine dropper. 😂
I use a little pipet from a chemistry set, heheh
All the designs and illustrations in the first box are by the artist Neimy Kanani and they curated all of the supplies (their favorites) in the first box!

I was absolutely losing my mind about the Brush Extinguisher solution and it took me a solid 20-30 minutes to realize it's just bleach. Covid has turn my brain into slugs.
SO if anyone needs me I'll be playing with bleach and trying to fill an empty marker with it while I have zero sense of smell. This can't possibly backfire in any way.

I have the same issue.
It would be really interesting to do a whole video exploring that ink-erasing liquid. What can it do? What can't it do? Can you use it on different mediums?
I remember doing fun things on white-cored colored card stock with Soft Scrub With Bleach. Fun to spatter. Just watch out for your clothes and eyes.

The fact that the Brush ex extinguishing solution turned the black yellow probably means it has Bleach in it.
i wonder if a small precision scale would be good for remixing paints? like checking how much of each color youre adding and next time you just weight them again? i kinda want to try
KASEY! I think there are palettes with lids to save your extra over mixed paint!!

Had the same issues with bruynzeel ecoline brushmarkers. Scribbling them on the palet and adding water makes them more paintable. But the hey why not use watercolour paint. The disappearing ink stuff is amazing! I’ll see if I can find it here.

Oh! I know a fun idea you should do. you should do scratch art. It has black paint on a board I think and you can use a stick to scratch it off. usually under the paint is a rainbow gradient usually (search it up if needed to because I'm not good at explaining things) I think you can do some cute stuff with it

This is my issue with ecoline markers, they absolutely destroy the paper if you go over it more than once. Even if it's good quality watercolour paper

There truly are no rules to sketching. A sketch could simply be a line to a full blown rendered peice. So long as you have fun and let your imagination go that's what matters!! Don't feel pressured to make a masterpiece but also know it's ok to want to render a peice!
Spreads are so cool! I could never do one myself tho. But this turned out so..AWESOME!!
About that colouring book idea: you could do a "corruption" drawing: as in you add things to the scene to give it a very different vibe (and also colour it ofc). Most I've seen go into the adult or horror direction but I bet you could put your own unique spin on it.

once in hs, to curb my anxiety and not jiggle my leg, i filled an entire notebook page black with hashmarks that formed into my profile, took about 3 hours to finish
