Thank you! We're hoping to ramp it up next year since it was so well received. I hadn't heard the term "jody call" before so thanks for bringing that to my attention!
Yes, I am the founder and drill sergeant for the team. I don't take credit for the routines as I just copied them from other groups that I found on the internet, but it was still a lot of work to coordinate.
@@patmfitz No way! That's too cool! This was a brilliant idea and you pulled it off masterfully. It also seemed to help pull the whole community together. They were proud of you. Heck, I'm proud of you. If you don't watch out, your drill team could pull people from all over to Dunwoody for the 4th of July - to enjoy the close community spirit so lovingly depicted in your video. I live in Florida and that's the first thing I thought. "I want to be there for it next time. These guys are too much fun to miss." Now multiply that by the internet and I'm afraid Dunwoody wouldn't have enough parking spaces! Lol
The Dunwoody parade is the largest 4th of July parade in the state of Georgia, and we ended up winning an award for best in our category, so we were pretty stoked. We'll see how long we can keep it going.
Brilliant! My favorite part of the parade!
Looks like so much fun!
You've got to love this!! Haha. This is great! But the whole time I'm thinking... WTF? This is a major crowd pleaser for sure!!
We have done this for two years now, and yes, the crowds love it!
Great show! The jody call while marching was a hoot. More, more!

This rocks!! 🎉
Love it! I’m a friend of Long’s….
What a talented group! 😂
So Patrick, are you on this drill team here? I think I see you on the end photo, on the far right. Yes??

Can we get a female team going too??? If so, I’m in!
We have one female drill team member! We'll probably do some recruiting before the parade next year.

Nice diverse crowd 😂
