That's a tough one. I'm assuming it's sealed in a plastic "clam pack". There are many collectors that would be mortified to see it opened. But it's yours, so you can do whatever you wish with it. One option would be to sell it to a collector via the Zebco Shop and Swap group on FB or an online auction. You'd probably get significantly more money for it than what you would likely pay for a good working example of one that is not in the package. You could use the proceeds to buy a user and keep the rest of the $. That way you'd make a collector happy and still have a nice user.
