Michael, I received that socket today. Great job on it. Thank you very kindly and I very much appreciate it. I'm going to give it a shot as soon as the bride will let me out of the house again. Second round of pneumonia has set back in and who knows when she'll turn her back so I can sneak back to the Garaj Mahal. I'll be sure to give you credit in the next video and link your channel so others can find you. Thank you again kind Sir.
Michael jessie Thank you Sir. I escaped long enough to get to the Post Office today. The deck lift bolt spacers left headed your direction. Hope you enjoy them.
I readjusted my RSD60 just yesterday per factory instructions. My bolts are run almost entirely out of the top of the bolts to get mine to 3 inches. It is level as can be, just run all the way out. Still trying to figure out why trying to knock down the house has caused the bolts to need to be run out to the top. I can not find anything bent, including the deck, the "u" channels top or bottom. The stabilizers are not bent. Just a strange phenomena I suppose. I'll end up getting to the bottom of this mystery though. I never give up until I win. lol
Max's Garaj Mahal max I got my height setting at 3”then I lever deck with the socket then I check the blades height to make sure setting at 3 “ it not exactly 3” want make sure not to get to high or to low you should get the socket Wednesday.
I'll shoot some photos of mine since I reset at the factory instructions. At least now I have gotten mine to easily accept the transport seer. I had to round off the back of the hand lock lever and short the tang about .060 and now it glides right in and locks securely. Never did that before in four years. lol
Fantastic idea. I like the dickens out of that adjustment stop. Great job. I want to thank you very much for your kind words. The yard looks fantastic so the proof is in the pudding. I love your ingenuity. How high is your deck while you were setting the height? Again, love your ingenuity my friend!
Max's Garaj Mahal it was set that 3” I check another setting on the deck they was pretty on the mark for example the lowest setting is 1.5 it pretty much on the mark too.
That's great! Mine set on 1 1/2" has the bolts almost run out to get the mower down to 1 1/2". I'll have to give that a shot at setting for 3" and work it backwards which is what I had planned for this weekend considering I hate how much bolt is taken up or "run out" at the lower adjustment setting. Hopefully it will allow mine to have some more thread out of the top putting less side load on the threads. I also liked that you can use the socket with the deck set at three inches. I'll try that and use a gauge block as a 'feeler gauge'. Once I have it on the money, I'll try the socket trick. Or, just buy your spare. lol Sorry I lost your comment on my video I had to reload the other day, I really appreciated it. I put a link in my video for your channel. Hopefully it will drive some traffic your way. Keep up the good work brother!
Hi Michael, I have the same mower, Mine is a 2018. I'm confused Michael, I know you glued a nut in the socket but what makes the socket stop at the right height ?
Jerry Carnes I set deck height that 3” then made socket to bottom out on deck bolt when use the sock on each deck bolt it will also lever your deck too sorry for not seeing your comment I know it’s been a few months ago I made the video Thanks for watching.
I think your taking about the device I made to lift the chut up an down, I replaced it with a reel that you use for fishing it works great for a chut lift . I have a video about it . Thanks for watching Tom.
I found it! Looks good!! I have a question I just it the height of my blades when I put the deck down to be the one side of the deck is lore but the blades on the same height do you know how I can fix that
@@tomcampbell7879 I don’t know what mower you have is it Raptor, Raptor SD or the new one Raptor XD. It sounds like you talking about the deck is not lever the SD had 4 adjustments two on each side. You can make 3 inches block out of 2x4 you need 4 for each corner . You need a lever floor so you can but those 3”blocks that each corner , but your deck down on the blocks than you can tell if the adjusting nut need to be tighter or looser, if deck is not touching the blocks it needs loosening or down on the blocks it may need tighter you just want adjust sitting on but not a lot pressure on the block on all 4 corners. If you don’t understand go to Max’s Garaj Mahal he got a video to show how . I hope this helps you Tom.
