How far can the BE2 get? Taking a rake from the Steel Mill to the Goods Factory, Derail Valley

Taking a trip to the Goods Factory. I had a silly idea, can the DE2 pull a rake of three empty wagons while pushing our rake of locomotives. I drag them around because you cannot in-game own some of the rolling stock. They need to be dragged around to prevent them despawning. I don't want to loose them.
