Honestly this is the best brotato run i have ever seen. been playing the game for a couple of months now and have not come close to this. Amazing, love your vids
Also, on waves 17 and 18, when you stand still, looking at the counter of double-drops left (bag with uranium) shows you that there's a limit to how much material can be on screen. Which means that running around to get it all, as long as you don't have magnet item, is necessary. Or else you lose too much value from just standing still.
I had a run with the lucky character had 4 babys and sidf's relic, -150 range at the end though so yeah was a bit busted even though I couldn't rely on my weapons xD
I mean, his shotguns had like 700+ range at the end, probably worth the trade for 1 kill more or less doing the damage to get an extra 1-2 kills in exchange for that 80 range lol
@@khavacado8406 Particularly with how he keeps going on about how he has to go closer because if they amass they can all come over at once and overrun him. Well, even just one baby with a beard makes masses of enemies evaporate. Two of them makes the number of enemies irrelevant because they blow themselves up like an atom bomb, literally. The entire enemy blob goes prompt critical.
Hey Sifd, just in case you read this comment, I had a sudden idea for that re-roll character you were talking about. I know you're a fan of interactive difficulty over numerical difficulty, so how about this? Re-rolls are 90% cheaper. But, Locked items instead re-roll into an item of the same rarity between waves. This way, while you're incentivized to re-roll often, you're also incentivized to lock high-rarity items you don't intend to purchase, thus decreasing the value of each subsequent re-roll while STILL preserving the theme of chasing a specific build.
Just wanting to point out that the ranged damage buff from this character is +50% not x2. So 3 ranged damaged would be +4.5 damage not 6 Otherwise, good run
Also at 27:27 the pumpkin adds +15% piercing, but IT CANT GO ABOVE BASE DAMAGE. You bought it thinking that it can’t go below base damage, which is vice versa, also you lost -2% damage, not a big deal there, but it hinders your piercing shots in the long run.
Some of his weapons with lower piercing drop off didn’t get the benefit, but the natively non-piercing weapons start with -50% piercing damage, so it’d take 3 to get to -5% damage and then 1 more to completely eliminate it
So I got Sifd's item yesterday, I LOVE the item for the lucky character, it pulls all materials to you when they drop and the lucky guy does dmg to enemies when you pick up materials. So everything dies on the map.
@@xanderkalaes3900 stuff like slingshots/shuriken supplemented with either 1-3 explosives or actual melee weapons with swipe attacks (explosives with slingshots for range damage, shuriken with swipe weapons for melee damage) and getting % damage along with luck to improve the pickup damage seems to be pretty solid. The bouncing of the slingshot/shuriken is great, but the aoe weapons are kinda needed for swarms, then you can just kill all you can without picking up materials but staying near materials and when you’re about to be overrun you can just walk into them for a ton of damage output on anything alive :D Also, with -60% native attack speed, attack speed pickups are insane for getting your damage back to a good spot, so with all the luck you should be able to reroll level-ups and shops enough to get some solid defensive and offensive pickups. Good luck!
@@xanderkalaes3900 I find lucky the easiest. All you have to go for are the items that either do DMG, or heal on material pick up. They scale off luck. Then for weapons I use sticks but most my DMG is reliant on the picking up material items it really is op
I think items like rip and tear and alien eyes also have a base damage that's being added. which is why its not exactly adding up from 50% melee damage.
being a percentage based attack speed increase, it would be difficult to change a number from .06 with any percentage based scaling. Even going a run that loses attack speed and goes for heavy hits only lightly nerfs the minigun, which is in fact the best weapon for such a run.
@@rdreynoldsbanana how does percentage-based scaling works on attack speed? I assumed at 0.06, getting 100% more attack speed would mean double the attacks, to 0.03

@@1TieDye1 some games have an ability to banish a card from showing up again. say taser came up in the store and you clicked to banish, it would never show up again in the store. this could be huge for building a run but if you made a change to you build, it could be just as damaging. I think it would add a lot of flavor. Amazing game Thomas!!! 150 hours and have been farming the level 5s love it!!!
@@APH3343 Yeah I feel like this game needs a few more RNG mitigation techniques like this, especially on high difficulties with the economic penalties you're very at the mercy of the shop RNG because you can't reroll much.
1 banish a level seems like it’d be way too much, but maybe one every 5 character levels or something? (Every 5 character levels you get the upgrade choices that’re all the same quality even when you reroll). I think something (2 things actually) I’ve felt would massively help with RNG negation is at least a guarantee on a weapon every X often, like every so many stages, especially if you wanted to pivot a build but needed certain weapons to get through early game. This obviously wouldn’t be allowed to be anything but a base level weapon, but it’d help a lot with some games where I reroll constantly for another even remotely reasonable weapon earlier on and find nothing helpful, but being unwilling to grab a completely unrelated weapon due to how many more of those I’d see. The other thing I’d like to have is a 1 weapon holding space in the store, never increasing beyond that, but you can always have 1 of your purchased weapons stored there. It’d make One Armed runs feel better as well, being able to upgrade lower tier weapons while only having a single slot available, but also being able to swap out weapons for certain rounds (like grabbing an ethereal weapon or thief’s dagger for round 9 stat or gold farming).
@@khavacado8406 There are 35+ weapons that I know of and 108 items in the game currently for a combined total of 143 unique thing you can see each run. getting 1 banish every 5 level would be 4 to 5 banished items, might be a little to low to make a real impact. Developers can scale their in-game units to whatever they want. 20 pixels can be considered 10 or 100 units for them in-game if that’s how they have it coded, it’s a range stat, not a direct tie-in with pixels, but also they can have the camera closer or further to show more or less units. It could mean legitimately whatever they want. Also, that can’t be true because he has like 700+ range and still isn’t attacking stuff in the very corners of his screen until he creeps closer
I have been playing this but changed the accessibility settings to min enemy health and min enemy damage but max enemy speed. Its still pretty darn tough on difficulty 5.
I saw a video by Dex as demon where they bought items down to 0 and sometimes negative hp(Item downsides) and the game has a failsafe that’s isnt instantly killing The player when they start the wave. Instead the game treats it as if the player has 1 max hp(I mean a literal 1 hp.)
