Am I the only one that hits the “Like” button here before even seeing these videos? Probably because It’s automatic for us… You’ve literally changed the way we look at life John. It’s sad, but necessary! And Thank you all very much!

The stiletto pro absolutely changes people's behavior within 20 yards. I've had some play fights with good buddies in parking lots after dark, slap boxing like goobers, and after blasting my friend in the eyeballs with 1000 lumens he was entirely disoriented and flailing around in the dark looking for me while I was standing still 10 feet away from him. I could hit him in the face with light and step back a couple feet and he would have no idea where I was or what I was doing. I could quite literally run circles around him because he couldn't see me for several seconds.

Still love my modlite 18650 with okw head.. I broke down and was on the shoulder one night and it was great in helping people move over a lane for me

Awesome light! Have the original and the pro both great. Love it. Stick it on my hat all the time

The Dual mode Cloud defensive MCH has my attention because it looks to have a decent option for administrative work while not adding undue complexity, But also has the face melting capability grown To Love.

"work just fine as an identify light out to 20ish yards" -- Yeah, in pitch black darkness on a white target lol. I considered the Stiletto when I was beginning my flashlight journey and just never fell in love. Daily for me is Streamlight HL-X and Microstream.

Don’t rule out the Stiletto Pro. If you can get over the ridiculous price, you can get the form factor that sits nicely clipped in the pocket, much more throw, plus the wide peripheral coverage. The only complaint I have is that the Pro starts at 25 lumens low, which is a lot, when you might just want a moonlight level. I switched from the Stiletto to the Stiletto Pro and never regretted it. Value option: Nitecore TIP SE. I don’t trust it’s durability like I do a Surefire, but it’s a great EDC convenient light and a nice stocking stuffer.

For me it’s the stilleto is a little too big for edc utility light. I rock the super tiny streamlight micro stream that’s $30 and has 50/250 lumens. Perfect for a utility light. For a more defensive light I carry the streamlight 2lx which is only 500 lumens but around 6,800 candela. I’ve had my wife shine it in my face from 15 yards in the backyard and I couldn’t see shit totally blinded. I feel good about it and it’s only $50

Have you carried a Stilletto? Because I own both the 2LX and the Stilletto and the Stilletto is way more comfortable to carry its flat lol

It came on it when I got it. Standard 18650 body clip.

I personally carry an olight s1r baton II, which is tiny and I love it.
The end is magnetic, so you can stick it to something metal for a static light, which is perfect for car work. The same magnetic end accepts the charger. It also has a 2 way clip if you want to use it as a headlamp.
1000 lumens for $65 is plenty for me.

Yup, I got several Baton 3's. As a utility light that can pinch hit as a defensive light, essentially how Neil uses his, I really like it. I'm constantly clipping it to my hat or using the magnet. Lasts about an hour on high, and turbo at 50 yards (in the dark woods!) makes the target look like that 10 yard one and at 75 yards look like the pink one. The lower modes are good for looking at the kids teeth and under the couch and such.
People like to crap on Olight, but the Baton 3 for a tiny powerful edc light is perfectly fine. Iirc the Baton 2 and Baton 3 are ridiculously close specs and the same body size. I've used them for several years now without issue.

John, what clip are you using on your modlite?

    • @ASPextra

I honestly have no idea lol. I cannibalized it from another light and for the life of me I can't find it again.

@@ASPextra yeah I’ve been trying to find the raven concealment clip but it was discontinued a few years ago. I reached out to Modlite to see if they had any clip recommendations other than Thrym, but they didn’t have any. Kind of a number

    • @ASPextra

I am 98% certain it IS a Raven concealment clip.

Surefire makes good stuff but you sure pay for it. This is a general-purpose EDC light with tactical output. I'd love to see your take on Cloud Defensive's new handhelds, Modlite performance at Surefire price.
I'm a flashlight nut who's spent way too much money thanks to r/flashlight on Reddit. I carry some fancy handmade wunder-light for general use and keep a Streamlight or Pelican single-output tactical light close at hand for serious stuff. Streamlight and Pelican have better value for money than Surefire but once the new Cloud light gets more reviews I may spend the money to upgrade.

They're proud of their product for sure.
I am looking forward to getting a Cloud handheld.

Nobody cares about no Candela and a narrow beam, people carry lights for situational awareness. We dont need to know whats 300 meters out we need to know whats around that next dark corner. Flood is way better than a spotlight beam imo!!
