Honestly though Tommy kinda deserves most (not all but most) of the bad things that happen to him, he calls dream a liar and a manipulator but Tommy manipulates others just as much he pretends to be poor to gain others sympathy and still their stuff, the only time he’s ever worked for his own gear was in exile, he has in fact betrayed techno twice, broke Tubbo’s trust multiple times and is canonically the one who has caused the most conflict on the server.
Technoblade on the other hand has technically caused the least conflict as he’s never the instigator of conflict and is only ever the reactor.
That is why I hate tommyinit (the character) and love techno (the character)
One painted as the bad guy but is more of a hero/ anti-hero than anyone else while Tommy is a borderline anti-villian painted as a hero

I agree though Tommy did not deserve death and torture he definitely is not the completely innocent person that some people make him, and even though techno is my favorite I realize that some of his actions can be considered evil. In my opinion no one is a hero on the dream smp, everyone can act and has acted selfish and put their needs above others.

@@lightning_duck_gacha1601 ​ TBH Tommy kinda had the prison death coming . He mocked Dream saying that the revival book is fake and the only thing keeping him alive is not real . He says that that he could kill Dream anytime he wished and was being merciful . When one of Tommy's cat got in the cell Dream named it hope . After some time Tommy asked Dream if he cared about the cat and Dream said that he didn't want to but he does . Tommy then killed the cat saying that this is what happens and what should happen to anything Dream loves .

Okay that’s a little far coming from the person who said his disks were worth more then his friendships. But I think Tommy has matured at least a little sense then.

Character development exists, and there are signs it happened in one way or another in multiple characters on the dsmp

I personally feel as if there is no villain or hero, everyone on the smp has done something bad whether it was intentional or not. That’s pretty much what Wilbur said he wanted when he wrote it, he wanted no specific villains or heroes because depending on which perspective, each character is going to have someone who they see as a hero and who they see as a villain.
In my opinion, Tommy, Tubbo, and Fundy were thrown into war way too young and it effected them badly. I can tell where each of them comes from and their pov in the story
