- 25 minutes of footage from Fortune Air's Boeing 727-2N6 Advanced (RE) 'Super 27' registration ZA-PVX. This was a charter flight on 7th May 2017 for a group of aviation enthusiasts from around the world. This video includes the take off from Lanseria Airport, various window and interior views, a missed approach at Mafikeng Airport, an impressive low pass over Pretoria, a touch and go back at Lanseria before finally landing.
Thanks to Fortune Air and Sam Chui for organising this flight.
Worked for Airlift International part time while in the Air Force in Japan. Had 2 B-727-100s based there. Worked them hard and they did the job. Great airplane.
Excellent footage!
This video is one of the best videos I have EVER seen from a 727… I am speechless.. GREAT VIDEO! Favorited and liked!!! Just.. WOW!!!!

As a pilot I flew all B727 versions including Super 27....... when I hear those JT8D engines roar my hair stand up on my arms..... best plane ever.
Wow over those mountains like a golden eagle. Impressive
Man....being on the Boeing 727 would be being spoiled enough! The missed approach, and touch and go looked like a lot of fun! Best airplane EVER built. I would give anything to fly on one again!

Most beautiful aircraft Boeing ever built
What a great way to spend an afternoon!
I used to travel in PSA 727's from LAX to SFO in my youth. My favorite airplane.
God bless us and filled us with God spirit. Thank God
They were really impressive for short field capabilities, at least the 100 version. When La Guardia was under construction for the over water runway extensions of 1000 feet I went in and out and saw the impressive performance. Likewise at Funchal Maderia, Portugal in the late 1960s the runway was 5000' or so which made for very abrupt landings and takeoffs by TAP only.
God created us I want your soul go to heaven. Think good, speak good and do good always in your life coz it is your own body or soul. Thanks God for the gifts of wisdom I'm sharing with you all.
I remember riding in a flaps 40 landing into Oakland. It was straight down until power just before landing.
Miss flying on the 727...
Always pray to our Almighty God and listening worship songs you will be blessed your own life. Thanks
