Canal de la Somme Part 1

The Somme / Cana del la Somme is a remote , almost forgotten and very beautiful canal in the Picardie/North of France. It leads from the Canal du Nord all the way to the North Sea.
There are no rental boat companies anywhere close and this adds to the serenity...
Part 1 covers the distance between Peronne and Cappy. It actually is the other way round in the video since the weather was absolutely stunning on the way back up and atrocious on the way down that day.....a mixture of timelapse and conventional video in 4k .
