Quick and easy repayment of the Battery for your Tab S2 it really is so simple and on ebay its quite cheap but i have NO link for this so you need to do a search on ebay
Great help Thanks. The most difficult part was getting the first corner up (used smallest screwdriver from cheap jewellers set), but after that plain sailing and switched in minutes. Made sure it booted up before closing the back!
So... the initial penetration getting the tool under the rear cover was done how? You don't show that step and your corner where you started looks damaged. Is that why the knife suddenly appears in the video? Did you use the knife to do that?
Wow, what kind of bionic tool did you use to pry open the cover at the corner? I've been working on trying to get that thing open with a dental scraper and it bent the heck out of the scraper.. I do have that little plastic pry bar looking thing that comes with the replacement battery but it doesn't seem to get into the edge enough to make any progress.
I'm replacing this battery because this eight-year-old tablet seems to run like a tank. It is hands-down the best 8in tablet I've ever had. I have tried buying different 8in tablets from different brand names recently and none compare to the quality of this tab S2. I will be sad when this finally decides to die on me, but in the meantime I will put a new battery in it and keep using it until it dies😭 I don't like the bigger tablets, 8in is perfect for me. Does anyone have any recommendations of another 8in tablet that compares to the Galaxy Tab S2?
You can find the battery code in the device settings (about section). There are too many numbers, but search for some numbers starting with 7: ..710..,. etc.
I use this tab every day mostly in the evening and mostly watching videos and it's doing good I'm having not battery issues as I did back then some would recommend doing it if you have the same problem
This is not a recommendable procedure! There is a high risk of damaging the electronic circuits just underneath the cover and of fracturing the securing pins of the cover when opening it with the tool!
Amazing! I would have thought you'd need to wear a shirt for this job. Proved me wrong! Thanks David.

I changed battery and my device works now due to this video.
Difficulty levels: Installing battery - easy, Removing cover - hard
it looks like easier than an iphone battery replacement. thanks!

Your welcome Brian and good morning
@@dmgladden yes good morning David ☕☕👍👍

I started with a very fine flat screw driver then anything and everything could find to pry it open but be careful not to brake the clips.
Thanks a bunch! Off to Home Depot..

another job well done ! - TOPLESS TOO :-)
Yo my workshop in summer upstairs is like an oven and down stairs is like a fridge, I was upstairs in this video, anyway mate thanks for watching
What kind of battery issues you had that made you change it? My S2 8.0 turns off sometimes and reboots again by itself.
same, planning to do same. Did it fix it for you?
David what was the symptoms before you changed the battery?
My S2 restarts every so often and shuts down even when I have 20-40% left.
Hi it was just not lasting any time at all
@@dmgladden thank you.
Hi David. Im going to replace my battery too. (8"). What is the correct battery code or model. Is it T710 or T715 ? Thanks in advance.
I wouldn't like to say and get it wrong as i never really know i just did a search and got the one that sounded right

Tengo una tablet tab s2 ya no prende solo vibra y los LEDs de abajo prende que puede ser? 😢
La batería probablemente esté mala si la tablet tiene varios años. Si el estuche está hinchado, la batería definitivamente está mala.
NOOIce!
how is the battery performing ?

@@dmgladden yes having same problem, do u have a link to the battery you used ? Thank you
@@meguinness1116 no I just picked one off eBay
The key is to do it naked...
DO Not DO This! What you see them struggling with around the two mount things, are screw mounts and you will break them off if you follow this method.
Ok don't but it worked for me as the video shows or do you think I've doctored it or somethings?
Oh and just to add to that I have 3 Tab S2s and I've done them all I needed to as there so old and yes there all working great
