love this city i lived there this summer and it was amazing ps. i cant hear any sound, anyone else? oh and for sure el boulevard is the best part of the city
If I had relatives or friends who could put up with me for about 45 consecutive days, would go there at least twice a year. The quintessential small European city. A Nice or French Riviera type ambiance with a Seattle, Washington feel. Has a river with romantic bridges, two beaches with an island and peninsula, and surrounded with green countryside. Forget the separatist politics and being a bit too conservative for a resort city.
I lived and worked 13 years in Getxo (Biskaia). I'am Dutch. I loved it. About 20 of the Basque people like the neocommunist ideas of ETA, the rest is quite conservative.
