honestly I think the version of Molly's death we have now is MORE shocking than the cutscene. Because you would expect something like that to be a cutscene, when it just happens with no warning it catches people way more off guard

An interesting fact about the characters is that even tough Ron and Franklin never meet personally in the storyline when Franklin kills Ron he will text you and you have to pay for his medical bills, in the message it will appear as a normal sms from another character (with pfp and name) but when you call him it won’t show as a saved contact it just appears his phone number
Which is why it works. Yes Michael did stop him but when the cops arrive we start to think that maybe he did get to press it and Michael didn't stop him in time. That's a possible explanation so we don't think too much about it until the truth is revealed

matto, you should really try a 1st person cutscene mod. its sometimes really jank and funny, but ive been doing a playthrough with it as well as full widescreen to boost fov in 1st person and it feels drastically different

The scrapped cutscene felt really unnessary as a random janitor probably wouldn't be really loyal when confronted
I like how the cutscenes are inputs instead of videos to save space. That’s why a bunch of save files of old games got messed up, because cheats would screw up the game and interfere with the cutscenes so it’d softlock.
One time I started the Paleto Score Setup while I had a wanted level and the cutscene played while 2 cops entered the lab and started shooting at us lmao. Michael then proceeded to die after the cutscene was over even though he wasn’t the one with the wanted level. This was on ps3, if you’re wondering.
