I'm Jay and Ari’s fans, knowing they are currently in the United States, so I suspect that person might not be uploading by Jay. It happens when the objects are placed too close to the baby and he/she stares at it all the time, but it usually goes away, however, it is a good reminder for the little tofu's parents to keep an eye on the situation. Good job of spotting it!

Big congrats to mai mai new baby. It’s strange not to see dad and mom in the video. Hope they r well. Gluten balls and the dry bean curd rolls are my favourite things in the hot pot. I don't think there would be a problem for Xiao Doufu being bilingual if Jay starts talking to him very soon in Chinese all the time. He will first understand and then he will be able to speak. When he is big enough, he may have to learn how to read and write but I am very sure that he will be a super smart boy so there won't be any problem for him. He is such a big baby now! He will be a tall and handsome boy later!

i remembered back to my old day(1970's in hong kong), the hot pot is used the real carbon to burn, and the hotpot restaurant was located on the pavement, they set the tables on the pavement eating hotpot with the seafood, beef and other foods........
this made me crave hotpot! love how ari shared her thoughts at the end - so well-spoken!!

I am sure Little Tofu will adapt to being bilingual since both parents are there to talk to him constantly. My son knows English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Malaysia. His dad talks to him in Mandarin, I talk to him in English and Cantonese, and he learned his Bahasa Malaysia at school and also learn more Mandarin there. You just have to keep talking to him. It's cute when my son switches back and forth naturally when he talks to me and his dad. Hehe.
P/s: maybe it's a good idea that each parent sticks with one or two languages when talking to the child. Makes it easier, I guess. No confusion there.
Those green vegies are chrysanthemum, yes, just like the flower. You're eating the green leaves. 茼蒿菜=chrysanthermum. Hope that helps.
Maybe Crown daisy is better? Chrysanthemum is a too academical word it sounds😁

It is hard for women to get president job and second is the US prez is not that powerful and third China now is another giant superpower and is a rival to the US. If America want world peace it need to work with other big superpowers like China and EU

Ari, no worries about the bilingual problem. Many chinese american speak chinese at home and speak english outside. They can switch the mode naturally. Just let Jay talk more chinese to little tofu.

Ari, I understand your concern as I raised my kid in 2 languages, Chinese and English. It really depends on the circumstances. For example, if there is more than 1 kid, and they're close in age, once they start school, the language not spoken at school falls by the wayside very quickly. No matter how fluent they are, in those 2 languages, it is hard to compete with 8 hours of English at school. Once there is a discrepancy in the proficiency between the 2 languages, the more fluent one would become the dominant one, and the siblings would prefer using that dominant language. The only-child situation does not have this problem if you instituted a strict rule of bilingual conversation. One solution is to have them homeschooled, but that will take away a lot of socialization that is so important for their development. But you and Jay are smart, I am sure you could come to a solution and I can't wait to find out. Best of Luck! By the way, little Tofu is gorgeous and cute and I am sure your sister's kid is just as gorgeous as well. Lovely families and people. God Bless!!

从小我最爱装饰圣诞东西了，现在我家老大够三岁了懂事了，我也开始教她做装饰，摆放挂饰她的高度的，老二才刚一岁她就在旁边拍手叫好，真的好温馨，然后圣诞节前夕叫上我和老公的父母来我家！我妈妈也很感动我把家里这种温馨传承下去，真的最爱圣诞节了、😂最危险是室外装饰😂gardland 和室外圣诞树和灯都是我自己挂喜欢的theme然后搞不定的才等老公回家给我安装下去、爬楼梯什么的每次都好可怕😂😂😂，我很高兴你们现在还可以中西合一！你们也让我们感受到满满的幸福感和温馨感，我看完也很幸福
