Be glad you don't. I did DD for a year and some of the peeps delivering are gross. Their cars are dirty and I have seen cockroaches in some of the cars. Just gross. I had over 1800 deliveries with a rating of 4.98

Report them and dispute the order. It's a breach of trust and false advertising. Also a safety issue that your food is handled by the person who was vetted. If not. Then don't pay.
Uber Eats driver here. If your food comes from someone who doesn't match the picture you should report them. To be more specific it has nothing to do with race or migrant or anything like that. Just the simple fact that this person has not been vetted so there's no way of knowing what they may or may not do.

To come through Ellis Island from Europe you had to know a trade, speak English (they were tested), pass a civics test, and renounce citizenship from your country. I’ve used Uber multiple times and it’s fine…. Lots of good people just trying to make some extra $. It’s literally like taking a taxi. But this is for food delivery not ride sharing. I don’t use it but I don’t want them touching my food.
Uber ride share is way more regulated than Uber eats at least in NYC. In other states I see they use beater cars that are falling apart TLC doesn't allow that in ny
They actually do background checks before you can drive for them. The real problem is stolen accounts and lack of ID verification.

In fact, the Spanish ability helped get me my first job at a juvenile dependency law firm in downtown Los Angeles). I admire the Africans and Middle Easterners more, however, since they make an effort to learn English. I remember a Somalian driver who learned English in six months, then in his work, he learned Spanish.

That's true. I'm a delivery driver for these platforms. Every time I call support, I get either an Indian or Middle East guy/gal on the phone. One time I asked a guy with thick Indian accent if he was in the US, he said he was in Japan and he was Japanese. I don't know if he was in Japan or not, but his accent was a dead giveaway that he was not Japanese. These are the people these platforms hire to assist drivers and customers.

In Houston, you order some food and it’s a team of two Chinese immigrants delivering food.
I noticed since about 2020 that a lot of these couriers are Cuban, Colombian, Venezuelan, Chinese and Iranian nationals.

I thought everyone knew this? One of the main incentives for coming to NYC is being able to immediately get an e-bike and start work as a delivery gig driver.
This is been going on for almost 2 years in NYC. As a delivery worker, This has hurted me and costed me thousands of dollars because of these illegal workers using fake accounts. I barely made my taxes last year because of this.

Amazon flex, Walmart Spark too. These people work in groups, each using multiple accounts made with stolen identities. Amazon and Walmart could stop this by having an employee verify the identity of the person picking up. They know it's an issue. This has been going on for years. Ultimately it's the companies that need to be held responsible for ignoring the issue.
I live in a gated community where you must show identification to enter and no exaggeration at least half the time I order DoorDash the delivery person doesn’t have state (Florida)or federal (United States) identification and aren’t allowed to enter, it was happening so frequently I canceled my DoorDash account, also many times the delivery driver would obviously not be the person listed as the the delivery person is says is delivering my order

I live in the Midwest. In the last week, I’ve seen two different men delivering prepared food to the apartment complex I live in. Neither one of them could speak English. They had to show me their app so I could see who the food belonged to…..

Gig companies get drivers to deliver drugs all the time, under the guise of “courier” deliveries. They do not care at all what they are trafficking, and the poor drivers are held legally responsible for whatever they are transporting. It’s awful.

We stopped using all those delivery apps many months ago and go pick up takeout. I do not trust them with my food, no way.
I quit food delivery back in 2020 when i noticed my food was being tampered with by certain delivery drivers! Also all restaurants shoulf have tamper proof containers!

When the name of the driver is different then the person delivering your food should be reported. When the vehicle that arrives to pick you up is different than the one on the app it should be reported. This happens every other rime I order a ride or food comes to be delivered.

I live in Orlando and the last four Uber drivers that I have ridden with were from Venezuela cannot speak english.

There's no way an illegal alien who arrived 2 weeks ago has a work permit. You have the driver's photo, make of car and license plate number. If these don't match the car and driver that arrives then don't get in and report it. Come on man this is common sense. I don't use any apps like that, I know how to cook! And, brother, concert ticket prices are crazy. Glad Senator Blackburn is at least trying to get those prices under scrutiny.
