It is rare that a person has the competitiveness of Clark. It is a life purpose, like Barkly, Chamberlain, Jordan, Bird, James, Curry... The work she put in to be as skilled as she is superhuman and should be treated with respect.

AR is not a great player she’s good but she doesn’t run the floor she doesn’t handle the ball gets blocked 4 x a game and doesn’t even have as many blocks as CC for a inside force thats not good , and AR same %shooting as CC but AR is 2ft from basket , she should be minimum 50% but NOT… get real AR good but not great ….
She should go to play in Europe.And let’s see what happen to the WNBA.

League MVP. ROY is like saying CC sucks. CC is getting more defensive attention from coaches then A'ja which means Obviously that they are a lot more worried about CC then A'ja blowing up their game plan. Which of course means CC is more valuable.

This debate is soooo tired and claiming that any player should win an award based on play throughout the season…. When you’re just over 1/2 way through the season is crazy.
When you list the metrics she is on track for, its pretty damn clear. Not getting rookie of the year at this point requires her to regress. It could happen due to their horrible coach not letting clark play to her strengths, but that is looking less likely. Sides seems to have changed her strategy to only doing enough to lose while letting clark play most of the time. Clark is going to get ROTY unless she gets injured, it is not going to be close at all by the end of the year. This is just a simple estimation based on her not regressing, its a fact based bet. Do you have evidence that the person on track to win at the end of july doesn't win it? How many times has that happened?

Its 100% CC. Numbers dont lie. Records dont lie. Is AR a great player? Not yet. She good no doubt at all. But she 1 dimensional. She not the whole package CC brings to the game. If CC stayed at Iowa this yr and AR stepped into the WBNA with out CC she Def be ROTY. Unfortunately for her CC stepped up with her.
CC definitely deserves it more but knowing what happened in the USA team the wnba will probably give it to AR

Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level.

One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody!

Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it.

Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

It was always a Pistol Pete fan.So when she got close to her scoring record in college I began paying her attention. Even though Pistol Pete didn't have the benefit of 3's.and would've had an intact record still . Her talent is undeniable.

Let’s get serious here…when it comes to CC and Reese. Are we really comparing apples for apples? Let’s take skills completely out of this… what ever happened to Sportman like conduct and being beautiful on the inside… people with this type of platform should be judged by their character. This is what we should be promoting to our youth…it goes along with everything else!!! CC is not only an exceptional talent, and without question, her fans know this!

I don't know that gives anyone the idea that Reese is ROTY. It means more than just on court performance, and reese is certainly well behind CC there. On the bummer side, Catlin has also set a new record for turnovers by a rookie. That may be a result of overconfidence, inexperience and being thrown into the pro games within a few weeks of joining the team. But she reallys to work on that aspect.
getting your own rebounds doesn't mean you dominate, it only means that you need so many attempt to put it in the basket also it means that the other team defense is horrible. Getting 6 rebound from your initial shot just showcase how horrible Reese is.
Even if Reese wins the reward, she still loses. The history of the league in this decision will be looked upon as a fools erand. Proving that we're still stuck in a rut that's more about the color of someones skin and culture when it should come down to real performance numbers and the reaction of their game. This would be like picking John Stockton over Michael Jordan as the rookie of the year back in 1984, that wouldn't reflect well on the history of the league at all and John Stockton is one of the players that I respect the most. Integrity is not always getting of who or what we want to choose in life.

The only aspect of the game that Reece dominates is picking up her own bricks...sometimes 2 or three times for each missed shot!

Angel Reese haven't led anybody to anything not even her self. Have you seen her stat. She even gets blocked by the rim and the backplate. She can not make a basket, that is why the "many" rebounds - It is her own misses.
How can it be a rebound in the stats, if it is you own miss. How many rebouds for the season would AR have if rebounding your own misses does not count 1-2-3.
