I truly have a huge esteem for Russel not only as a actor which he is very versatile and gives extremely his best performance, as a humsn he stays so humble and sincere in his take on life! Absolutely my Hero!
His run in the late 90s to like 2005 or so is legendary: Mystery Alaska, Gladiator, Master and Commander, Cinderella Man, A Beautiful Mind… talk about in the zone
L A Confidential is an excellent film! It had the bad luck of being up against Titanic at the Oscars, otherwise it would have cleaned up because it received nine nominations.
@@igorspitz Well, now that you ask, it's hard to raise a definite Top-3 across all genres that wouldn't change along the years. But "The Shawshank Redemption" is there. For the third one not quite sure actually, multiple candidates.. maybe "Rear Window" by Hitchcock. L.A. Confidential is definitely there, such a perfect film. Not just as a crime film
A silly fact . For the 2024 horserace the Grand National ,the horse that had the most punter's money was called " I am Maximus". .I wonder how many backed it on a hunch because this is their favourite film ? Note: IT WON !!
I have already commented this previously but can't find it I 'm a genuine Russell-Crowe-yt-vids-fan, so my exultations were not liked? How come, lads or lassies?

LA Confidential is one of my favorite movies of all-time. I'm a sucker for film noire.
What’s your favorite film noire?
Russell Crowe is one of the best actors ever! He's so funny and charming! Love L.A. Confidential!
Holy god how funny is this interview. We aren't allowed to have this sort of banter anymore.
His role in Cindrella Man is my personal favourite from him... Absolute legend!

@@MasterChiefBazzle yeah he's one of my all time favs. I've made a sketch in honor of him to as a sketch artist
@@MasterChiefBazzle Loved Mystery Alaska. Gladiator in my personal Top 10. Robin Hood was actually well made.
Russell Crowe is one of the greatest actors in history of cinema!
Yes. Yes. And I miss him. Have watched all of his films many times over.
I think a very reasonable argument can be made that he is in fact THE greatest actor of all time.
Russell is the best!!!
RC was awesome here!
L A Confidential is an excellent film! It had the bad luck of being up against Titanic at the Oscars, otherwise it would have cleaned up because it received nine nominations.
It should have won, it's the better film. Titanic isn't bad but L.A. Condifential is in my Top 3 all-time, all genres
@@shredd5705 Exactly. Titanic was all about visuals (it has terrible script). L.A. is good script, good acting, good directing, good everything.
@@shredd5705 What are the other 2?

Had to write an essay on this movie for a film noir class in college. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it!
He was cute and adorable back then!
Andy is bigger than the gladiator!
The frost, it makes the blade stick.
Russell Crowe's an actual auctioneer!
👍👌👏 Simply a really great guy.
LA Confidential should have won the Oscar for best picture of 1997 - unfortunately a little low budget movie called Titanic also came out that year
Titanic sucks. LA Confidential too. Better movies from 1997: Good Will Hunting, Liar Liar, Lost Highway, Deconstructing Harry, Boogie Nights.
Lets be honest. Titanic is a classic. LA Confidential is a footnote in cinema history.
@@jeffreysalley Titanic sucks
If not for that damn Titanic, L.A. Confidential would've won! I'm over Titanic!
Film shoulda won the oscar.
Conan's wylin that was a great Sam Raimi
That police move actually makes sense
Ah! Russel Crowe! When he was half his current size and a couple Oscar nominations and a win short! 😊
Ikr? It was so hard disposing of my 20th anniversary special edition DVD of Romper Stomper. I was obsessed! But I did it. Whew.
He really has "blown up" hasn't he.
Mel Gibsogne, Conan is on point here!
Russell is smart. Be oozes cool.
i wish i had his hair...
I too ❤
This guy ❤
I can't tell you how heartfelt and sincere I am when I say I'm glad to have had a positive acquaintance with all of you💐👋

Was it just a joke or was there ever any feud between Gibson and Crowe?
Oh Russell was so sexy then!
He's New Zealand.
I wish we could go back to 97 when i was 10 years old :( and conan should be on tv not a doing a little podcast.
Podcasts are more huge than tv nowadays though. Plus his international audience grew so much
Russell is from New Zealand.
but he claims himself as Australian!
Andy lol dont talk about it
He has changed so much.
This was just as he was becoming the huge star he is today. In this interview he seems still normal.
What's normal?
What about him now is abnormal?
He still is cute
Très drole
cool
Mel Gibson born in USA I thought
Had no idea Conan was that awful in 90's.
Terrible showmaster
