- Civilization 7 is in pre-order status. But if you feel like it is too expensive check out some of the old civilizations.
Here i have a lets play of civilization 3. In many peoples opinion this is one of
the best installments of civilization.
Finally, someone who thinks Civ 3 is the APEX if the Civilization series - all later games after Civ 3 trade strategy for fancy graphics.
I love the graphics but, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Wonder what civilization 7 will be like ...
Civ 6 where also playable on linux, at last with proton compatibilty. I did it for years on linux mint.
I know. But I don't have the money to buy it. Civilization 6 is when on the apple play store!
Civ III was the greatest. Issues nowadays is out dated AI, late game slowly game down. They wont give us another game like this though because more people will buy a 4K game with max graphics than a Civ III game focused on gameplay and replay-ability.
I agree. But we are still a group of people who cannot afford it and who also not want to invest the time in learning a new interface etc. After having made this play through I tried civ 5 but didn't even make 20 min into the game when I lost interest... I will try again later but don't know if I can play it even though I know many day it is better
Look up Suede CivIII he’s got a channel and probably one of the most knowledgeable on Civ 3 gameplay.
KEEP IT UP BRO
What do you want to see on the channel? :)
I'm biased, but Civ III was the best one for me.
I love it too :)
If you're looking for pre-2001 CIV games, check out Civilization: Call to Power. It had a lawyer unit, and the ability to win by flooding the world.
I will look into that. That is so typical of lawyers ;)
@michaellee3836 that's not a real Civ game. If it doesn't have Sid Meiers name on it it's bullshit.
@@RSpracticalshooting Sid Meier is great - he invented the genre, and also made some of its best titles (Alpha Centauri might be the GOAT). However, from CIV III onward, I see a lot of stagnation. I would give CTP some credit for not just being a "by the numbers" rip-off. It actually did try to innovate on the 4X genre. Not all of their innovations worked (lawyers are actually annoying), and the AI is not good enough to take advantage of the game dynamics. Trade routes, stacking units, modeling slavery/abolition, televangelists, scifi units, really cool wonders - the game had some interesting features (and they didn't make us pay for 800 new DLCs to get those features). Also, melting the ice caps was really fun.
I disagree i think civ 7 is gonna be awesome
I hope you are right. I also would live an awesome new civilization 7 game. I really want it.
yeah, let's just not make any more new games because you like a 20 year old one.
You have the humor of a wet napkin
:). I will be the boss of all game companies in the world, if they let me, and I will make them all work on improving civilization 3 ;)
@chilltube6009 if you had any development skills you'd mod the newer civ games to be what you want.
