- MAJOR CONTENT UPDATE!
Megacity now generated with various bridge extensions and hubs.
Custom-made textures using Blender Geometry Nodes (more to come)
Large scale biomes started.
Player-scale biomes started.
Sub-spawns from biome objects (aliens!) and loaded game world.
Various other quality of life improvements to world generation.
Depth fog (which is why everything is violet)
Some world generation optimizations.
This project is beginning to come into focus, which is driving the art direction. What is currently decided on is that this will be a kind of walking, or "wandering" exploration sim with some light gameplay elements and a strong emphasis on sense of place and atmosphere. I will talk about this more in the future as more content and features are added. There are, of course, still numerous bug fixes and optimizations to be made, some of which may slow down updates.
Next week I intend to add more variety to the biomes, as well as try to optimize some aspects of the world generation that causes that occasional stuttering.
